The third of my RP characters, she was designed almost exclusively to get into the then school like atmosphere at the Zenvious Foundation (and I even tricked some of my friends into thinking I was another player for a second until Global friending came into play).

Personality

Maggie

Normally, Maggie is a sweet, caring, kind girl who feels a strong responsibility to help others, be they friends and family or just a Joe on the street. A little boastful of her intelligence, as she feels that it's not just her strongest point, but her only real asset. Highly loyal, she feels great personal pain if she lets anyone down, and is always happy to have a friend around.

Miranda

A now integrated piece of her personality, Maggie claims her genetic meddling created a second personality that spurned all that Maggie really is. A mean spirited, self-centered, hateful person, Miranda only ever got one chance to emerge after weakening Maggie's psionic defenses from within. Wanting only to control the pair of personalities, she showed the true power Maggie possesses, and is generally willing to do the things Maggie isn't.

Merged

With the two parts merged, Maggie continued to be a good girl with a strong sense of responsibility, but shows a bit of a mischevious side among friends, cutting into egos with a well placed and light-hearted verbal barb. This caused Maggie to personally add Miranda as her unofficial middle name, soon thereafter, changing it legally with her parents' consent.

Re-split

An attack on Maggie and her friends Genkai Fist and Graffiti Samurai caused Maggie to again split into two fragmented minds. However, due to the time spent merged, Maggie has retained her merged personality, and Miranda has become much more accomodating to Maggie and her friends, while maintaining her viciousness towards those that would do her, or Maggie, harm.

Integrated

At the end of September 2007, Maggie and others in the Zenvious Foundation were investigating the arrest of their leader, and were led to a psionic focus used by the (they thought) once-defeated Jenna Hagan, an apparently old acquaintance of Mr. Zen who later attacked the Foundation through psionics and deceit. After the psionic metaconcert behind the focus' power nearly tempted Miranda into returning to her old ways, and temporarily caused a bizarre behavior change in Little Miss Vagary, Maggie and Miranda merged again, this time willingly and completely.

This has led to Maggie discover the true depths of her psionic ability, and a way that she can boost it temporarily. Although she has yet to need to use it, she is truly more than she has ever been.

Powers

Super Intelligence

Maggie was born a mutant, gifted with an immensely quick wit and the ability to almost instantly memorize any fact presented to her. This led to her skipping most of grade school and she was admitted to PCU at the young age of 11.

As time passed though, Maggie's mind met with its greatest challenge in the sciences, especially biology and genetics in particular. This directed her to pour her energies into a post-graduate degree in Genetics, and recently, her PhD in genetics was awarded to her by PCU, completing her education, for now at least. Also, she has achieved a Bachelor's in Physics, giving her insight into her gained powers.

Psionics

Maggie, while studying and researching her thesis for her PhD., altered her own genetic structure. Originally hoping merely to boost her already impressive intellect, she instead accidentally boosted her mental power to psionic levels, and turned her natural hair color pink in the process. Seeing the power as a great boon now, it was not always so, in the first days, she lacked control over her powers, and so heard the thoughts of her much older classmates and fellow researchers, leading her to freak out massively, apparently giving birth to the now integrated Miranda personality.

Now, she rarely uses her powers outside of a combat use, although she has been training daily to better control and further develop her mental ability. Also, she frequently exhibits telekinetic abilities, usually used for minor shows of power, or as a convenience around normal life.

Energy Transfer

Further experimentation before registering as a hero in Paragon led to Maggie developing the ability to transfer energy from one person or object to herself, others, or the general area around her target. Generally following in the tradition of the powers called Kinetics officially, she has also shown to be able to turn absorbed energy into a pure empathic energy, although her control of this channeled energy is limited, and generally best used with an empathic person who can direct the energies separately.

Flight

A more recent experiment, during her conflict with Miranda, the two sides both worked on parts of the necessary formulae and procedures to change Maggie's DNA structure to allow the growth of natural, feathered wings from her back. Fully functional, these wings have attracted a lot of attention, both wanted and not to the heroine, and are one of Maggie's proudest achievements.

Abilties

In addition to her powers, Maggie is a highly learned and well read individual. She tends to rely on her mental strength most of the time, and thus has developed a strong problem solving skill. Her time spent identifying mutations and studying the genetic structure in general of people, combined with her strong memorization skills has given her the ability to read the results of a genetic test or read out almost as quickly as she reads the English language.

Affliations

A member in good standing at the Zenvious Foundation, she also is strongly tied to her studies at Paragon City University. She also is acquanted with many people in groups coalitioned with the Foundation.
