Personality
Sam is loud, obnoxious, and likes to get in people's faces. When meeting him the first time, expect to be mocked. He can be abrasive, even down right rude, but when it counts he's shown a remarkably sensitive side to himself. Outwardly, he acts like drunk frat boy, always looking for the nearest party, consuming as much alcohol as possible, and chasing every girl in the vicinity, all while boasting and talking himself up. He's been called everything from "annoying" to "hilarious". Inwardly, he sees with a discerning eye, always aware of his surroundings, and astoundingly observant. It begs the question, "is it all an act, or is he really as gaudy as he seems?"
Sam suffers from excessive hubris. A mercenary of six years, he's seen a lot of things, and through it all his arrogant swagger has seen him through. He likes to think he's the shit, and he wants everyone else to think it too. He has no problem trash talking an upstart while boasting about his own skill with a blade. Or with women. Or with drinking. Or about anything really. Sam takes himself entirely too seriously. That confidence has proven as much of a blessing as a curse. He's been goaded into a fair share of fights simply through insults to his pride.
Affiliations
The Rogue Isles Protectorate: Sam recently joined up with a plucky gang of super heroes trying to make it in the Isles. While he's never particularly been heroic, he knows a challenge when he sees one. And openly defying Lord Recluse, standing against the full force of Arachnos is a challenge. It hasn't been the best business decision he's ever made, most of his mercenary contacts have dried up, but in Sam's mind, this is just another job, another arena to show case his skills. He hasn't kept much of a low profile, taking out high level Arachnos targets since joining up.
Sin Enterprises: A former member of the Security detail at Sector Six, Sam achieved the "Sin Operative" rank, and was approved for field work, before differences with the management and specific operatives began to spring up, and Sam decided to leave the tech firm. He still retains contact with several Sin Operatives, and has even visited Sector Six a few times since he quit.

Sam met Anna in Pocket D. He asked her if school let out early, and they hit it off. Impressed with her maturity and strength, Sam decided to throw in with her group of vigilantes in the Rogue Isles.

Domi is something like a little sister to Sam. He tries to look out for her when he can. So far, no one else has gotten him to open up as Domi as.
