Character Summary
Arrows is the moonlighting persona of Nyte Shaide, although naturally winged she sports a magical belt capable of hiding them from sight to help preserve her cover. Under the persona of Arrows Nyte takes care of the less then heroic deeds which would get her into trouble under her true identity.
History on Record
Arrows carries identification for the name Lila Chade, according to Paragon city records Lila was born in Paragon city but quickly put up for adoption by parents who did not have the time to deal with a 'genetically enhanced' child. Supposedly she spent the rest of her childhood bouncing from foster to foster until the age of 18 when she went solo.
Records of employment exist for a variety of typical jobs...waitress,personal assistent and sales rep amoung them. Its unclear when she choose to enter the hero's lifestyle although it appears she registered with the Paragon City Hero Corps at the age of 21.
Since her registration the actions of Arrow is spotty, vague refrences seem to indicate that while she was actively pursuing criminals she prefered to stay out of the spotlight, working with others only when necessary, her spechiality seems to be the retrieval of stolen information and items. Several criminals known to have run afoul of her have subsequently dissapeared although Arrows herself never seems to be around when it happens.
Recently she has joined the ranks of Alpha Squad a group whose motto "by any mean's necessary" completely envelops Arrow's mindset and allows her acsess to a group of comrades willing to take out the trash. For a full history see Nyte Shaide.
Alpha Squad
Nyte first developed the persona of Arrow for two reasons - to handle projects that were being mishandled by other groups, projects in which a more permanant solution or breaking the law might be required - following her belief that being a hero did not always equate to heroic deeds and to gather information, both on the more miscreant hero community to which Arrow belonged and the added information these groups and thier more relaxed rules might be gathering on known criminal organizations.
Both her and Grifter concluded that these means would only be served completely if she were to join a group embracing these values..further it was pointed out that it would ensure her a ready made group of willing participants should she require help on a less then savory assignment.
So it was that she joined Alpha Squad and while she does indeed report on thier actions to Grifter so too does she pass along information to them, subtly urging them to take care of problems other groups have delt with in a more relaxed and ultimately ineffective manner.
Personality
Although Arrows is a persona of Nyte it is clear to say that she is very much not Nyte. Arrows tends to the sarcastic side always willing to toss out a comment now and again, although she works well with others its clear she try's to keep most of them at arm's length, questioning thier own background but offering little of her own in reply. Curious sorts will most likely chalk this up to Lila's childhood should they look into it.
Despite her best intentions - to keep Alpha squad at arm's length, letting them remain the information source she orginally envisioned them to be, several of their members are slowly working thier way into her mind as friends.
Comrades
Alastrina Psyche - Allie as Arrow calls her is one of those slowly working thier way to being classified as a friend instead of just another known entity, Arrow knows this to be the case and considers it detrimental to her overall goals..but the bubbly energetic speedster is just to damn lovable to keep out.
Cobra Fist - Arrows finds Cobra a qualified leader, though she's amused by his lack of social niceties and appaled by his bartending skills. Though he is constantly surrounded by macho male armor, Arrow is undisturbed and even comfortable in his presence, though he has yet to lower his armor enough for her to truly get to know him she's confident in his abilities in a fight and always glad to have him around if the going gets nasty.
Scrib - Arrows is often amused by Scrib, she has the disconcerting feeling that like Allie she could come to like him although her contact with him has been slim she's spent enough time watching him fight that she never complains when he's around in a tough situation.
Ragnaut - Rag is an enigma to Arrow, she has enough trouble relating to humans let alone a giant robot.However he always seems willing to take out the bad guys and is good in fight. His over enthusiastic temper towards fighting crime often brings a quiet chuckle.
Doctor Zar - Arrows thinks this visitor fro another dimension would slice up anything that might give him some scientific data. She thinks he's crazy and although he's good in a fight she finds herself somewhat wary of the this mad scientist.
Chase Storm - Arrows introduced Chase to Alpha Squad for the sole purpose of opening his eyes, she believes he needs a good healthy dose of real world crime fighting to truly appreciate what she and his grandfather Grifter do to help keep society safe.
