Little is known about John Stevens’ past. His file states he was a Navy SEAL who was selected to participate in a government project to imbue normal humans with extraordinary abilities; however, there is no information on which government organization operates the project or even what the project is called and John prefers not discuss his past. He is frequently accompanied by Alyssa Keller. Alyssa is a well renowned biochemist that began demonstrating metahuman traits a year ago. Rumors have her linked to the same project that bestowed power to John Stevens; however, nothing has ever been confirmed.
John Stevens and Alyssa Keller were first seen defending prime government locations during the period of time known as Shadow Wars. At the time they wore masks to protect their identity. In the aftermath of the event and the ensuing distrust in the metahuman population, John and Alyssa removed their masks revealing their identities to the public. Aligning themselves with the government, they have been deemed the model heroes and have made great strides in restoring trust in the metahuman community. In fact, the general population has deemed them Captain Infinity and Infinity Girl, Protectors of Paragon City.
