A treasure hunter is a person, persons, or a team of indivuals who participate in the pursuit, location, and aquisition of treasure ( ie. literal, symbolic, religious, and/or cultural in nature ), usually for personal gain. There are several classes of treasure hunter that exsist, however, the broad description of the term is what is being applied in this definition. This does not ,in no way, limit the definition of treasure hunter to the description above nor to the types of treasure sought out ( like those listed above ).
