History
Rick was born to Richard and Martha Stevens 17 years ago. For all intensive purposes they were a normal upper middle class family, with Martha having a successful carear in Real Estate, and Richard working as a Researcher at a Major Coporation.
Unfortunetly, the Major Coporation Richard worked for happened to be Crey. When Crey Discovered that Richard's son was a Mutant, they took steps to bring him in for experimentation and eventual induction into the Paragon Protector Program.
Richard however, was not about to let his son be taken from him, and attempted to cut all ties with Crey and Flee with his family.
Once more tragedy struck however, as the night before the Family was to leave Paragon and take on assumed idenities, a Crey Response team Struck. In the ensuing Chaos Rick's Mutant abilities manifested as Crey Teams gunned his family down before his eyes. The 5yr old Rick slaughtered the response team for hurting his loved ones, and then promptly passed out from the strain.
From there Rick became a ward of the State, where G.I.F.T. raised him and trained him in the use of his abilities.
At 16 Rick broke out into the Hero Buisness formally, and became one of the Most Recognised teen Heroes around, for his Enthusiastic personality. While superheroing he met a young girl named Ani Reaves and the two became lovers, despite her being a supervillianous and Vampire.
Over a series of conflicts and trials, however, the two were torn apart, and Ani left Ego, citing they were simply to different from one another.
Despite his Heartbreak, Ego kept on and rededicated himself to his Heroics. Along the way he found out one of his longtime friends, and mentor like figures, Amanda Vertra was actully his half-sister. Richard Stevens had carried on a Secret affair for along while. Despite finding flaw in his fathers character, Rick was more then happy to have connection to a living Realitive once again.
Powers
Rick's mind is akin to an advanced biological radio tranciever. It is able to interpret and interact with numerous signals that many other minds are incapable of. To this end, he can mentally "Tune the dial" of his brain to produce a variety of effects.
- Rick is able to pick up the brains waves and signals put off by others, this allows him to read the thoughts of others. He is so effective at this, that many times he picks up others thoughts without meaning to.
- Rick can "intercept" the signals produced by other minds and implant his own. Controlling this individuals actions, effectively allowing him mental control over another if he wishes.
- Rick can even interpret and interact with the thoughts of Cybernetic and magical beings, his brain is somehow able to even interpret and interact with the signals they put out.
- Rick can percieve the Aura's of others. This allows him to interpret a variety of information about an individual, such as them being of a Magical Origin, a Mutant like himself, there emotional state, there health and well being.
- Rick is able to mentally manipulate the very molecules around him, this is what allows him his telekentic abilities. He can lift objects by simply telling the molecules around them to move upward, and to cancel the effects of gravity for them.
- Rick is able to leave his body and traverse the Astral plan, he can also possess others, and dwelve into there subconscious to perform psychic surgery. (Psychic Chirurgy)
Affiliations
Rick is The former leader of "The Infiniteens" and was recently asked to Join the Legendary "Paragons" team after his mentor "Mind's Eye" was killed in Action.
Recent Events
Rick eventually helped create a Teen team known as "The Infinteens" after leading them successfully for a year, he left the team behind, to Join the Paragons.

- Some certain villainous figures have their eyes on Ego Trip, believing him to be either a subversive spy from Paragon in league with Long Bow or Wyvern, or a very valuable pawn.
- There are Rumors some say, that Ego Trip is not the clear cut pure of heart Hero he says he is. That in fact, a Darker side lurks within him, manifest in his powers and abilities.
- Battlebriar and Ego Trip share a common link in their heroic history. While Ego Trip was actually a feasible and competent hero, however, River, as the Rose Paladin, was... not. That Ego Trip and Battlebriar have been seen conversing in the D has fuelled rumours of heroic infiltration of the Etoile.
