Personality
Serenity White is a young, friendly hero who is compassionate and polite. She’s protective of her friends and allies, and usually calm. She is, however, very self conscious of her small breasts and what she believes to be a large ass, particularly when compared to most other costumed heroine’s. Making fun of her lacklustre breast size is a sure-fire way to get her mad enough to more or less punch you through a wall.
She is very feminine, preferring to bake, cook and sew. She has a small collection of Barbie dolls and loves the colour pink. While she would prefer to avoid harming people she understands that sometimes the best way to help people is to fight criminals and super villains.
Character History
History
The daughter of a nurse and programmer Serenity White spent her early years in New York City before they moved to Paragon City at age nine. At age fourteen she found odd, white sores on her legs and was taken to the hospital her mother worked at. She was diagnosed with what would be called White Sores Disease. The condition was rare with only seven cases known of at the time. The disease would slowly turn her skin white from the toes to head while sores would develop, the process taking five years before killing the victim. It was, and still is, incurable, by modern medical means. Her parents and uncle decided to spare her knowledge of her fate, hiding it while trying to raise her normally while bearing the burden of this knowledge.
Her uncle Robert, an archaeologist, researched other possible cures and remedies to save his beloved niece. In the end he had only one answer; The Fountain of Zeus at the Well of Furies. Taking off for nearly a year he searched, desperate to find the mystical water of gods in an effort to find his Niece’s cure. By the end of his journey he had found the well on an island called Praxidae, hidden in a collapsed cave with only enough room for him to squeeze his way to the fabled well. Taking a water bottle he filled it with the mystical drink and left for home.
He arrived in the airport, with his sister and niece there to greet him, the mysterious sores up to her knees now and causing her concern. He gently passed her the seemingly innocent water bottle, urging her to drink it all up, hoping it would work.
His family wasn’t the only ones waiting however. Agents of Arachnos were also laying in wait, having heard of his journey to the Well of Furies. Lord Recluse sent the Arbiter Sands to retrieve the mystical liquid, not knowing it had been consumed by a young girl already. Sands tried to do so silently and unnoticed but another hero, Apex, had also been returning home at the time and had recognized the man and quickly engaged him in combat. His cover blown Sands had his agents unveil themselves, kidnapping Robert and Serenity while four of his men detained Apex. Apex defeated the men but they served their purpose; Sands had escaped with his victims in tow.
The escape attempt was chaotic as Sands knew he couldn’t simply send for a flyer to remove himself and his captives. Instead he had two white vans, one captive in each; to take them to an abandoned factory in King’s Row. However one of the many Clockwork robots in the district attacked the second van with Serenity, intent of collecting its metal. The van crashed into a pillar, killing the Arachnos agents.
However Serenity’s powers, gathered from the well water, allowed her to rip the broken door open, leaving her mostly unharmed. Climbing out of the van, and stunned at what happened she collected herself for long enough to think of what to do. Finding one of the bodies had directions to a factory she began to run there. Once there she entered through a backdoor and found a locker with leftover clothes from the workers who once used the building.
Donning them and using a safety helmet to hide her hair and handkerchief to disguise her face she began to challenge the Arachnos agents. Sands had left to arrange transport, leaving only what men he had to guard her uncle Robert. Despite her inexperience and confusion in using her new powers and the fact she was facing well armed and trained men she defeated them, rescuing her uncle.
Stunned that the waters had empowered her while she pressed for answers he admitted to everything that was hidden from her, the disease, and the reason for his trip and that he had thought the water would only cure her, not give her super powers. The two left for home and discovered that the white sores had receded down her legs to her calves. By the end of the day only her feet were covered. By morning they had vanished, as if they were never there.
As the disease retreated her powers grew day by day. By age sixteen she had become impervious to bullets and rocket propelled grenades and could bench press a train. And her power was still growing. She decided then to become a costumed superhero, fashioning her own costume and getting her license, naming herself Gyrl Power, before beginning her career...
Powers
Super Strength
Gyrl Power can currently press over two hundred tons. Her exact press limit is unknown, but she is among the upper tier of strength, able to challenge even Lord Recluse and hold her own.
Invulnerability
Gyrl Power’s skin is exceptionally tough and resilient. In addition her body erects a powerful force field about herself. It only extends far enough to protect herself and skin-tight clothing, much to her dismay since it means she can't hide her small breasts with looser clothing. Although as some would point out, the world didn’t need another Invincibelle. Even depleted uranium ammunition cannot penetrate her field, but it will hurt her.
Powerful attacks can overpower the force field and it offers no protection to psychic based attacks.
Flight
Gyrl Power’s top speed is not clocked, but she can break the sound barrier. She is able to fly into outer space for limited stretches of time.
Disease Resistance and Immunity
Gyrl Power received her powers when her uncle used the water from the Well of Furies to cure her. This makes her resistant to most toxins, diseases and viruses. She is still susceptible to them, and can still be weakened for a time, but will recover within hours. Even the most powerful diseases will leave her sick for a day at most.
Heat Vision (Laser Beam Eyes)
A more recent power that has developed, she is capable of emitting red beams of heat from her eyes to cause damage. She is still exploring the upper limits of this power.
Incarnate
Drinking water from the Fountain of Zeus has given her exceptional powers, much like it did with Statesman and Lord Recluse although hers is somewhat defused due to drinking it so far from the source. Despite this the water has still proven it’s potency. While Statesman gained the Incarnate powers of Zeus and Recluse those of Tartarus she gained those of Athena, goddess of wisdom and warfare; because of this her powers are at their most potent when she is defending herself or others and she is given surprising clarity and insight for one so young.
Foes
Bonemancer
A necromancer who had chased down Sands after he kidnapped Robert, he found the man had escaped. He eventually found the man, seeking answers about the Well of Furies. This brought him into conflict with Gyrl Power when she was heading to her uncle’s residence, flying over in costume. Seeing her uncle threatened she engaged the self proclaimed ‘Lord of Marrow’ and his undead army in battle, forcing him to retreat.
Sensing her power had come from the very place he sought he became more active in challenging and fighting Gyrl Power, becoming her Arch-Nemesis. While he was once powerful enough to challenge and fight Statesman to a draw an encounter with the Midnighters had left him greatly weakened when they sealed most of his power. While still formidable he is no where near his peak power. However he is over two hundred years old and very experanced.

Creator Notes and Trivia
- The full commissioned image at the top of the page can be found here:
- Is the creators highest level hero and first to reach level 50.
- The character was made after reading the TV Tropes page ‘Real Women Don’t Wear Dresses’ (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RealWomenNeverWearDresses) that pointed out how female characters who acted feminine, even if only for a moment, would be considered weak even if she was as capable or more capable than a male counterpart. Gyrl Power was created to make an incredibly powerful female character that was as feminine as possible.
- She was supposed to be named Girl Power. The name was taken, so the ‘I’ was swapped with a ‘Y’.
- She is the first real attempt the creator has made for both a Tanker and an Invulnerable character. Using her has been... a learning experience.
- The nickname ‘The Bubblegum Wrapper’ comes from one of the characters first experiences in Pocket D, when a character remarked she ‘looked like a bubblegum wrapper.’ She has no relation to The_Bubblegum_Bomb beyond both being Justice Girls.
- Her battle cry is 'Justice Power, Justice Grace, Justice Girls in your face!'. She's occasionally tried to make it catch on with the other Justice Girls. It hasn't.
- She appears in the Mission Architect Arc ‘Where Have All The Good Girls Gone’ as an ally in the first and fourth missions. Arc Number: 393098
