History
Mixed Heritage
Jericho is the son of notorious villains Denarii, a human, and Gothica Girl, from an alien race knowns as the Kilrai. This mixed heritage has allowed Jericho to mature unusually quickly for his human age, and has gifted him with the Kilrai innate power to manipulate dark matter.
Despite its importance to his past and his future, Jericho does not broadcast his heritage, nor does he generally speak of it at any length.
Early History
Jericho's mother vanished on a strike mission into Paragon City shortly after his birth, leaving him in the care of his father, a military man, career criminal, and the leader of the Sadist's Blade organization.
Growing up in the likes of Mercy Island has forever altered Jericho's perspective on the world. By age nine, he had been named in multiple burglaries, assault, and acts of arson. Less than a year later, Jericho would take part in a public riot, injuring dozens of so-called "law enforcement" in Mercy.
His first kill would come at age eleven, beating a young Snake to death with an steel rebar after being cornered in a Mercy alleyway. For the years his family lived in the Isles, Jericho saw nothing but the ugly underbelly of the creature that called itself the World.
With his father under temporary pardon following his stepmother Bombshell Blonde's return to hero service, Jericho and his family moved to Paragon City for the birth of his siblings: Sebastian and Diana. Now faced with the brighter, more colorful side of the hero-villain border, Jericho still found himself seeing the ugly side to the city. His father's intense prejudice against heroes did little to help, and soon Jericho found himself resenting what he saw as an elaborate facade to cover up the horrors of the ongoing struggles.
When Denarii returned to Arachnos service, Jericho was quick to follow.
Arachnos
At age eighteen, Jericho applied for the Arachnos Military Academy, and was accepted into the Bane Spider training program. He set his sights high: striving to enter Captain Mako's elite Crab Spider regiments upon graduation, as his father had done.
After a year in basic, technical, and advanced training, Jericho was ready to graduate into the Special Forces of the notorious Bane Spiders. But unseen circumstances would lead him down a very different path than what he was expecting to follow...
Powers and Ablities
Jericho inherited a limited form of his mother's dark matter manipulation, a genetic trait of her race. On the very rare occasion he uses it, the energy has been known to appear in the form of dark auras and short-range blasts.
Intense training from his father coupled with life in the Isles has taught Jericho well in the ways of breaking things, be it with guns or his own fists. He graduated from the Arachnos Military Academy with honors in piloting and martial combat. However, he has shown poor skills in stealth and tactics, leading many of his instructors to criticize his 'head-on' approach and disregard for subtlety.
Allies
Denarii: Dad knows best. Or if he doesn't, Dad at least knows the most fun way to an explosive finish. Jericho has watched his father's career with wide eyes, and it was because of Dorian that Jericho joined the Arachnos military in the first place. His striving goal is to ascend the ranks of Arachnos and take his place at his father's side in the unending crusades against Paragon City.
Bombshell Blonde: Jericho's stepmother has been the gentler half of the parenting team, a caring influence Jericho has needed since Gothica's disppearance. While he still does not feel completely connected with her, he trusts Julie and has confided in her on many occasions.
Enemies
None. Yet. But it shouldn't take long.
Trivia
-Jericho's birth certificate was completed and signed by the insane Doctor Dismantle, medic for the Sadist's Blade at the time. To this day, it still reads that Jericho is the offspring of "Violet hummings in the lower pheremone viscosity."
-Jericho keeps one of his father's hand-stamped Denarius coins with him at all times, as payment to the mythological ferryman should he be fatally injured.
