History
((Being the Operative of a unit closely tied to Arachnos, his bio is accessable to anyone with access to the Arachnos information systems.))
Early Life
Kenpachi was born to a woman named Lynn, and a Japanese man named Eiji in the spring of 1985. While his infancy was spent in the confiles of Talos, Eiji was transfered within Crey Industries in Nerva shortly before Kyoko, their second child, was born. Lynn and Eiji often had heated arguments over whether Eiji should take the transfer or find another line of work. Talos offered safety, due to the heroes often seen running, jumping, and flying through the air. Nerva only had Crey, as Longbow hadn't quite found their existance yet. However, the lack of available jobs and the sense of Eiji to take care of his family forced the move to Nerva.
One of Ken's early sources of facination and entertaiment were movies that starred swordplay - namely the cheesy ninja and martial arts movies shipped over from Japan. There was a facination with the give-and-take, the display of skill and agility, that put a sparkle in the boy's eyes. His parents, however, felt it was just a phase. Something they did, hoping to break Ken if his facination with hard work, was to enroll him in a dojo that claimed to teach 'Ninjutsu'. His parents held their breaths, waiting for Ken to proclaim that he was done with this dream. Surely the strict dicipline of the martial arts would break their Kenny and force him to address reality and a normal life.
Breaking Foundation
The facination he had with swordplay and the actions of the assassin stiffened young Kenpachi's spine and helped him to stand up under the pressure. Unfortunately, the training woudln't last as long as he wanted. Not in a formal sense, and not of his own will. In very-late winter, Lynn, Eiji, and young Kyoko were on their way to the dojo to pick up Ken, stop by the grocery store to pick up ingredients for dinner, and head home. However, they never made it to the dojo. The Carnival of Shadows was in town. Not in an official sense - they weren't scheduled for an official show in Nerva for quite some time. However, a Ring Mistress and several underlings were in the area, looking to provide a little of their own entertainment off-the-clock. They unleashed chaos in a Nerva neighborhood - the same neighborhood that the Tsuyas were walking through. They attempted to escape, but a group of attendants headed off their escape route and held them hostage. Hostages gave the Carnies some leverage against an inbound squad of RIP officers. However, after the leverage was used to buy the Carnies a window of escape, the hostages were useless. They were lashed together and left out in the middle of the street. Right before the RIP squad were able to recover the three, psionically charged ring-blades were launched from a rooftop. The funeral for Ken's parents and his sister took place two weeks later.
Wild Side
Kenpachi was lost in the unorganized system of the Rogue Isles. Normally, soemone his age would be found a foster home, or sent to a half-way home of some kind until he reached the age of majority. With nowhere to turn to, and no money to continue his training, Kenpachi turned to the streets. His sensei always told him that what he was training to do was only to be used as a last resort. The discipline and honor required to be viewed as a student of Ninjutsu was strict, but these weren't exactly normal times, were they? Kenpachi was a street-rat, and rats needed to survive. He used his training initially to do what he needed to do. To get food, clothes, and other things that he needed to survive. However, Kenpachi got older as well as more confident in the utility of his abilities. Kenpachi was soon taking more than what he needed - he was now taking what he wanted. It even got to the point where he didn't care what he was doing. He was taking from anyone, as long as they had what he wanted. The Family, Freakshow, Skulls, Hellions, as well as the general public. They were all targets. For all his crimes, Kenpachi has only spent a total of nine months in jail. Honor among thieves, as well as difficulties experienced by investigators to find enough evidence, has left Ken off the hook for the vast majority of his alleged transgressions.
Blackweb
Kenpachi was contacted by Arachnos. He had skills, afterall, as well as some abilities. He was working for himself all this time, and finally an organization was seeking to harness what he had to offer. It wasn't very long at all before he met a succubus by the name of Leia'Laruis. He ran a few operations with her, and before he knew it, she was putting in a word for him for the organization she was involved in - Blackweb. With the help of her endorsement, and a short conversation with a pair of Blackweb Lieutenants, he was entered into Blackweb proper. Since then, subjected to some degree of military discpiline, his attitude has moderated considerably. He is by no means a military hardass, but now he exists for more than himself.
Contacts
Annette Tozi - Inarguably one of Kenpachi's best friends. He's seen hanging out with her often during his off-time. There is no record of him running an operation with her. There have been rumors, due to the time he's spent with her, that he's been trying to win her over.
Leia'Laruis - Kenpachi's first friend since being contacted by Arachnos operatives. She's also responsable for bringing him into Blackweb. However, since he joined, the two have slowly seemed to grow apart. They still get together sometimes, usually within the confines of the Blackweb base, but they are not together as often as they used to be. She is also responable for his Altered status, as she has given him a portion of her demonic energy during a more lively time of their relationship. This energy has deformed him slightly, giving his eyes an unnatural glow as well as affectiong the flesh of his face.
Mitra - A woman with a strong French accent. A fellow operative inside Blackweb. Kenpachi and Mitra enjoy an amiable relationship, with Kenpachi providing a line of flattery or flirtation whenever Mitra announces her presence over the Blackweb comm system. Kenpachi is known to turn to her whenever operations grow too difficult for him to tackle alone.
