Personal History
Background
Everyone knew Langston Moore was destined to be a Marine. Growing up in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, it was his father's war stories from Vietnam, and the tales of heroes like Thunderhead that kept Langston on the straight and narrow. He enlisted in the Marines right out of High School, going into the infantry, and took to it instantly. He was a consummate soldier, dedicated and skilled, and made it to the rank of sergeant in near-record time. While enlisted he met his future wife, and married after a whirlwind romance. Langston loved the military life, and lived it happily, until a year of bad luck ended it forever.
While stationed overseas, his unit was hit by a surprise attack in the middle of the desert. The ambush took his unit hard, killing several of his men, and an explosion took Langston's left eye and left arm from just above the elbow. He was sent home a hero, but disabled, his military career over. He arrived home shortly after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, finding his home half-submerged. With the difficult times and his long absence, his relations with his wife grew more and more distant, and the two separated shortly after his return.
Two months after his discharge, Langston received a letter from Crey Industries inviting him to a program designed to aid the most seriously wounded American veterans. At the chance of getting his life back, he couldn't sign up fast enough. The next day he was in Paragon City, sitting at the Crey test labs on Peregrine Island. As he waited, an explosion rocked the facility. Another veteran, a subject of the Crey experiments, had broken loose, given powers by the tests, and was tearing the place apart. Langston did his best to save those around him, but was mortally wounded in the battle. Near death, buried under the buildings rubble, he first saw the Kheldian.
The former nictus appeared to him, a prisoner of the Crey set free in the fight. It offered Langston a second chance at life as they bonded, if Langston would grant it a chance to redeem itself. He agreed, and the two joined together, forming a gestalt being, a process that not only healed Langston's recent wounds, but regenerated his lost arm and eye. Langston took the name Krewe, after the carnival krewe's that worked in the Mardi Gras parades, reflecting the dual nature of the new hero.
Paragon City
Coming.
Allies
- Kozzma
- Irradissi

- Psymin: A former member of Krewe's unit, now an insane telepathic sociopath after being tortured by the Wisps of the Shadow Shard.
- The Council
Appearance
Krewe still keeps himself in good shape, exercising regularly. He's taken to shaving his head, and grown a 'Van Dyke' style beard and mustache. Since the merger with Bulldog, Langston's eyes are naturally a rich indigo in color, and he normally wears sunglasses to hide this in public.
Personality
Krewe has been through quite a lot, and lived to talk about it, even before becoming a super. He tends to be quiet and reserved, though good humored. He can come off as very serious minded, and a good amount of the old sergeant comes out when he's in costume.
Powers
Coming.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Like all Kheldian gestalts, Krewe has a severe weakness to the weapons of the Void Hunters.
