Background
Kummer remembers when he was a Cambridge pre-medical student. He remembers his name, Jack Evens. He was working in Africa on a summer job assisting a hospital there. While he had asthma, it was not that bad. At least, he never thought so.
Though the men that took him in the night said otherwise. Hours bled into days, which in turn bled into a blur of pain. Eventually, he woke, changed. Months had gone by and he was ... less than human .. or perhaps more. He was in the Rogue Isles, that he knew. He wanted to go home, but the electrified bars said otherwise.
They called him 'Kummer' and tried to make him work with a terrifying (at the time) man named Grigaere. It went poorly, the soothing words and look of the man’s eyes sent Kummer into a strange fit of terror, the result, he did *something* to the man that left him pale and looking drained.
After that, Grigaere was taken away, and Kummer was taken for study - then more agonizing pain. Following that was psychic and conditional behavior "sessions" to "edit" portions of his personality matrix to grind out those flaws. It was only partially successful. At least that’s what the scientists decided. It was good enough for now.
In the weeks and months since, Kummer has started to come to terms with his new life. Escape, while theoretically possible, is impractical and quite likely lethal. Fighting the occasionally severe bout of depression due to the grafted powers and abilities he now possesses, he has been taking the hard road to learn how to survive.
Over time, as is the common practice among the Hybrids, they teach each other how to survive in the confines of Infinity Incorporated’s walls. This has been no exception with Kummer. Exceptionally stubborn, in part to his original "human template" and in part due to Infinity Inc’s choice to include mountain lion genetic traits in with what is primarily Arctic / Gray Wolf genetic base code, Kummer has had a hard time accepting his fate.
Fehral, Grigaere and others worked subtly with Kummer. He would take two steps forward, then two steps back. It was a long talk from his future Delta, Sutra-Dhara Anima that finally struck the right chord.
Since then Kummer has been more in control of his powers, and more in tune with accepting his place of who and what is he now. He still dreams of leaving, but has come to accept that real freedom comes in the alliances he builds and helping the Hybrids - his fellow victims - of Infinity Incorporated’s monstrous process.
While he’s learned to adapt, albeit the hard way, he’s formed a natural unit bond with Sutra-Dhara Anima and his fellow Alphas Tundro - a Samoan turned black wolf, and Stranj, a bat alpha suffering a level of autism. Together they have become to be collectively known as “The Stage Crew”.
Currently

Lately, he's been working with Sutra-Dhara Anima and Tundro on occasional Infinity Inc lease contracts. This isn't exclusive as he has been rented for solo work, as well as worked with other Hybrids such as Fehral and Killing Dance.
