Leonardo di Meo is the current leader of the Nemesis Council and is an ex-hero who once attended the New Porter Institute for Psychical Research. He is probably most well known for his decapitation by a ex-heroine Corvine following his reign of terror on Vandellia, otherwise known as Vanessa Weekes or Vanessa Tremaine, and certain members of the New Porter Institute.

History
An Italian by birth, his parents fled the country with the authorities on their heels and regrettably had to leave Leo behind. During the time between that and their return, Leo gained his powers and began to ‘lean’ on the minds of those around him in order to get his way. Eventually, he leaned on the mind of another mutant, one who was still in the closet about his state and one with popularity to lose if it ever saw the light of day. The man attempted to have Leo killed rather than bought off, as he saw him only as a kid and not worthy of throwing money at, but Leo managed to stow away aboard a ship and make his way to the States.
Once there, he joined a group of Outcasts and was adopted by the leader, Marcus, who went on to help him gain his citizenship. With the Outcasts, Leo blatantly abused his powers to gain standing both for himself and for his gang, making them rather more powerful than the other gangs in the area. It all came to the end at the hands of a so-called hero who massacred his family. Leo came to the scene only in the aftermath and lashed out at every mind in the vicinity in his horror.
A good time later, after a stint in juvenile hall, he was released to the New Porter Institute as part of his parole where he remained for some time, even forming a relationship with one of the heroes that attended classes there, a young woman by the name of Vanessa Weekes a.k.a. Vandellia. Events would later separate them when Leo found out that his adopted father survived the encounter with the hero and was being held in the Zig. He took steps to free him, at which point he was labeled a criminal once more and disappeared.
His love for Vanessa turned into something of an obsession once she spurned him on his return for turning criminal; in his opinion, she betrayed him. With no desire to turn himself in and live in prison once more, he began a criminal career that he soon adjusted to, working out a deal with the Malta Organization and even finding his ties with his real parents in the Family.
In time, his obsession with Vanessa began to put things into jeopardy as a good number of heroes were in pursuit of him. In hindsight, he does not really blame them; filling his obsession with bullets and dumping her in the river for her boyfriend and new father to find was probably just a touch too evil. With the assistance of an undead swordswoman named Corvine, he faked his death and made his way to the Rogue Isles to establish himself there.
Powers
Telekinesis and Telepathy
His powers of telekinesis and telepathy can be summed up by what most people know of them. His telekinesis is an invisible force that can move objects or hold them in place, while his telepathy allows him to read the thoughts of others and twist them into doing his bidding.
Affiliations
Leo was formerly the leader of the Nemesis Council. He holds no current affiliations of note.
Friends and Allies
At the moment, he has few he can consider friends, but he had many allies in the Outcasts that followed him, the Malta he had served well in the past, and the Family that he, well, had family in.
Enemies
The Wolfcry Division of Samuel Dayne Industries and the Templars of the Abbey could have been considered a threat to him, mostly due to his own actions while the core of both groups were a part of the New Porter Institute for Psychical Research. Of course, he also did more to them as time went on, causing the animosity to grow. However, in his current situation, none stand out in particular.
Current Status
Leonardo di Meo is currently incarcerated at Ziggursky Penitentiary and awaiting trial. It is suspected that with the enormity and severity of his crimes, he is facing the death penalty. He is being kept in a secure cell designed especially for high level telepaths and rescue by his former underlings is very unlikely. It is also believed that his former group, the Nemesis Council, has been taken over by an outsider and his former underlings are apparently welcoming of the newcomer.
