Celestials
- Azhrael - The leader of the Arma Lucis; Nars is known to most as her "chosen". Beneath her pristine exterior lies a harsh and driven truth, though; that only Narsaphrel has seen.
- Amariel - One of the warriors, a student close to Narsaphrel's age. Amariel followed Azhrael and her "chosen" to the Isles; largely out of a forlorn sort of curiosity about Narsaphrel. Since then he's realized there's more to the strange little angel than meets the eye, and he struggles to understand what's made Narsaphrel into what he is today.
- Myriael -One of the leaders of the Singers, Myriel is third generation. Lately, his path has faltered due to demonic trickery. Narsaphrel has vowed not to act until he knows whether or not Myr can still be saved.
- Xan Kelestis- Xan's actions were perhaps the catalyst to bring all this about. As such, he will either be blessed or cursed depending who current events end up giving the advantage to.
The Arma Lucis
The Arma Lucis, (A.L.) is the militant arm of Coriel's offspring. Founded by the Lady Azhrael; the Arma recognizes that not all of the bloodline would be born singers. Some, due to the influences of their human parantage would carry the traits of the warrior angels. Although, more accurately, they are still a blend. Not nearly so fearsome as a true angelic warrior, they're still stronger and less emotional than the singers of the line. The only thing is, Narsaphrel doesn't quite fit in. He's been told for years that he -is- a warrior, that he must live up to their expectations. But, when upset, when excited, or on the rare occasions he's happy he seems much more like a singer than a warrior. He possesses intuitive abilities that are almost never found in the fighters of the Arma Lucis.
History
Backstory
Nars's parents, it's said, were killed when he was young. He went to stay for several years with a distant cousin, Coegi Neige and her family. Coegi was several years younger than Nars, but she remembers him as a quiet unhappy boy; who followed her nearly everywhere with dark eyes and a notebook that he constantly scribbled in. Her parents assumed he would be a singer, but they didn't argue when Azhrael came for him to train him as a warrior. No one knows much of what happened after that, but when Coegi saw Nars again he had changed. He was even more withdrawn. But now, rather than sad, he seemed angry, afraid, and hostile; even to her.
