And over the years he has saved many lives, defeated many foes, and uncovered many lies, but has never returned home. In his time as a warrior he has fought, and he has died. He has been vilified by many things, but has never lost his fame.
But no matter what afflicts him, no matter what curses him, no matter what beings try to stop him with words or with action, he will never stop in his fight to protect those he loves, those he cares about, and respects. From now, until the ending of his life, the Prince of Light will always fight!

Personality
Traits: Regal, Genuine, Caring, Loyal, Protective
Even when he is older than most human civilization, Prince of Light still manages to retain who he is, without much change. There are still times when he gives off a boyish grin, or to snicker at a silly joke. Other times, he can be sarcastic, or funny. But when the situation turns serious, so does he. If the need is dire or if the stakes high, he won't smile or laugh that often, it is in those times he will be like a mute statue, doing what he can to fight and protect, and not much else. Often seeming cold and distant.
But when the dust settles and the day is won, that flashy smile will come back once more. Though now that he has a beloved wife and two adorable little girls, his protective nature has increased tenfold. Willing to do everything in his vast power to keep everything he cares about safe, his wife, his children, his friends, his team, his fellow man. And even with two little twin daughters at home, he manages to find the time to do his duty to the city, and make it home to spend time with them, often into the wee hours of the morning, or the late hours of the night, depending on when he arrives.
Biography
The sheer, indomitable size of Prince of Light is already enough for him to be noticed, a memorable sight, no matter where he goes. But it is his deeds as a hero of the world, and in some cases, the galaxy and beyond, that make him a legend. His previous heroic life as the famed L.A superspeedster Scarlet Streak was for the most part unnoticed in Paragon City upon his arrival, he was just another hero. But as the months passed, and his feats became bigger, more daring, more heroic, his name and status began to spread like fire.
And that fire became a veritable supernova when the crimson clad hero lost his life in the defense of another. Scarlet Streak had died after a brief but titanic fight with the parrallel reality Statesman doppelganger, Tyrant. But that fight gave others the opportunity to rescue the ensnared and beaten Statesman, who had been captured days before by the Praetorian menaces. His loss was mourned by many, and his legacy was that of one of the greatest heroes known. Not the strongest, probably not the fastest, not the bravest nor the boldest, but still, great.
But death, as some say, is just another part of the journey. And for Scarlet Streak, and his entire race, it is literally so. For while being moved to Los Angeles for burial at his old home, the Aduran within him finally was revealed to him, and the knowledge of millennia, of great power, and self-resurrection. In those afternoon hours in the California basin, Prince of Light came to be. The manner of his return to Paragon after a brief hiatus was uneventful, without parades or fanfare, for the populous thought Prince of Light as just another hero... Again.
It is only a matter of time before Prince of Light becomes as beloved as his spiritual predecessor, though it his hoped that death is not the cause of it.
Recent Events
After his brief absence, when his energy essence was housed within the body of his wife, Tigra, Chaladar took several weeks to return to a near-normal state of being. No longer needing a special suit to contain his energy, he was able to recreate his human body and survive with it. But not long after he "got better", family matters literally dragged him away back to Aduros, where he spent one Earth month dealing with some situations that had arisen during his absence. The extent of his dealings, or what exactly had happened, are not yet known.
When he returned to Earth not long ago, he came with a greater understanding and control over his own power and heritage, a stronger hero than what he had been before. Even sporting a suit of armor that seems to have been inspired by Roman Centurions, but is in fact an original Aduran design, crafted from a vast mix of unknown metals and materials, it can withstand incredible amounts of strain and damage. The implications of the resemblance between Aduran and Roman suggests that, either Adurans developed this style of armor and passed it down to the ancient humans of the Roman Empire, or it is coincidence.
Detailed Abilities & Powers
Because of his race, he is essentially a fully fledged Peacebringer. This gives him an enormous amount of cosmic energy at his disposal, with the ability to inflict harm, or to heal the wounded, as he deems fit. He also possesses the genetic matrix of the legendary Kurukt species within him, granting him the ability to shift his essence into an energy-based construct of the creature for as long as he needs. While shifted, he is more primal and animalistic, deprived of most logic and communicative abilities, but this is offset by an incredible armored carapace which gives him a vastly increased ability to withstand damage, physical, magical, or otherwise. By itself, a Kurukt is physically one of the strongest creatures, of similar size, known to man. And to counter-act the slow, lumbering movement of the creature, it also has the ability to teleport itself over short distances.
However, because he is not a Kheldian merged with a Human being, and rather a genetic offspring combination of the two, with the Kurukt, better known as White Dwarf, locked away within him. A natural ability, instead of the more common result of merging. Because of this, essentially having one soul, one consciousness, and one form, he is a much stronger Dwarf than many others who also have access to this mighty form.
While in his natural, humanoid Aduran form, he has many other incredible powers. Easily divided into two distinct sources, his Aduran body, and the connection to energy of the cosmos itself. Even if this latent connection was snuffed out somehow, while seemingly impossible, could happen. But if it did, he would still be a formidable being, as his body and mind on their own gives him Super Strength, Self-Propelled Flight, Telepathy and Mild Regeneration. He is vulnerable to the mundane in this fashion, but not seriously so. He could still withstand several hits from cutting edge missiles, of large payloads.
The other source is his link to Light, or rather, cosmic energy from all around the multiverse, an unlimited supply of power for him and all others who can wield it. When this bond is at full capacity, he is capable of Supersonic Flight, Invisibility, Self-Healing, Nigh-Invulnerability, Shapeshifting and Energy Manipulation.
The latter power, Energy Manipulation, has many facets and grants the wielder immense command and control over such energy. Known uses include energy beams emitted from the eyes, fashion of various projectiles comprised entirely of energy, which exlpode on impact in brilliant destructive force. It has also been used to enhance basic fisticuffs, lacing the hands with a build-up of cosmic energy, releasing it upon impact with the target.
For defense and other supportive powers, the energy he wields can he used to trigger a temporary surge of regenerative capabilites within other heroes, effectively healing them. And with his telepathic nature, he can also attempt to bring others out of psionic trances or other forms of hypnosis, etc. But not often, as he is a very basic telepath. Along with these abilities, he has a perpetual aura of light just below the surface of his skin, while in human form. This gives him a resistance to physical harm, to the point where when fully connected to his powers, he is nearly indestructible.
Outside sources have been able to ascertain a rough estimate at just how powerful Chaladar is, physically. Judging by various feats of strength, while there has been no "official" testing, it is known he can lift in excess of twenty-five tons. And due to his unique attributes while in Kurukt form, it has been guessed at that while shifted his strength increases into the triple digit range, though this is not proven.
Basic Abilities
Super Strength
Self-Propelled Flight
Self-Healing
Minor Telepathy
Invisibility
Nigh-Invulnerability
Energy Manipulation
Shapeshifting
Weaknesses & Limitations
As with all beings possessing a relationship, or kinship with Kheldians, he has a severe weakness to weapons which are based around a Quantum energy matrix, which disrupts the energy they thrive on most, to often disastrous and fatal results. Physical damage can hardly do any lasting harm, but given enough punishment over-time, it will begin to take its toll, as will magical based assaults. Telepathic intrusions can also render him hindered or hurt at times, depending on the capability of the attacker.

Character History
Date of Birth: 5336 BC
Place of Birth: Aduros
Given Name: Chaladar
Race: Aduran
Titles: First Prince and Warlord of the Aduran Empire
He is known as The Prince of Light, an ancient warrior and royal from a race of beings, loosely related to the Kheldians, known as the Adurans. Their planet, which lies many millions of light years from the Sol system, was not always their home. Many thousands of years ago, when the Nictus first began to cull their fellow Kheldians lifeforce, from light years away at times, many of the Kheldians dubbed "Peacebringers" decided to leave and start anew, with the hopes of evolving further, and without fear of the Nictus.
Though they succeeded in departing, they did not do so unscathed. While the loss of further life was tragic, it only served to fuel the fire within the self-exiled Kheldians as they fled to rebuild. They found Aduros. Once there, and out of the reach of the Nictus, they began their new life, and after a time, a new empire. The pure energy beings befriended and sometimes merged with the humanoid race found on this world, and as hoped, their race began to evolve. With so many Adurans merging with the people of the world, and then bearing children, it was only a matter of time before they began seeking, and finding ways to become a truly independant race, from the Kheldians. After a generation, the Kheldian/Human offspring became what would be known as "true" Adurans. Human in form and shape, but born with the latent connection to the energy of light, and the ability to, under duress, merge with other beings.
With this momentous evolution, the original Kheldians who arrived also managed to find a way to pass along the genetic matrix of the resilient Kurukt, also known as White Dwarves. But their greatest task, which took many years to achieve, was enabling the newly risen Adurans to also have the ability to shift into pure energy, like the true form of their progenitors. With each passing day, the founding Aduran Kheldians watched their new race grow and prosper, and to their amazement, not die out. Something within the newborn race gave them an incredible lifespan, where a Kheldian must jump from host to host to prolong their naturally extremely short lifespan, the Adurans were not bound by this fact, and did not need hosts to survive for great periods, as evidenced by the first generation Adurans, who still live today, after thousands of years.
Like any empire, they formed royal families, based on the respect and influence of their closest related Kheldian. The most influential of the original Aduran founders was the Peacebringer called Lightspear, and his closest offspring, and current High Lord of the Aduran empire, is Zeran. However, the Kheldian who was respected over all the others was Whitefire, and his offspring of Arestes, also very highly respected among the Adurans. Arestes was unqiue, in that he decided to return to their ancestral home, and face the Nictus head on. Before leaving, he married, and fathered a child. His genetic memory enabled his son to know him as well as anyone could, though Arestes was slain by the Nictus long before the unborn son was brought forth. The psychic powers of the Adurans also made it possible for the son to witness the last heroic moments of his father, where at the end, he became the first true Aduran to do what many Peacebringers strive to do. The legendary Dawn Strike.
Arestes' son is Chaladar, born seven thousand, three hundred forty-three years ago on Aduros. Since Arestes' death, Chaladar was immediately named as First Prince, as Arestes had been. Should anything happen to Zeran, or any of his sons, Chaladar would become the High Lord. And because the genetic memory of Arestes meant he would also be one of the greatest living Aduran warriors, Zeran named him Warlord, making him the supreme commander of any Aduran military forces, if any were summoned. But like his father, though it took many thousands of years to sink in, Chaladar longed to travel the universe, and so he did. Though he retained his positions within the empire.
And he found his way, over a hundred years ago around the latter end of the 1880s, to the Sol system, and the only largely inhabited planet of Earth. Because of his winged and heroic appearance, and mastery over light itself, the rural people who caught sight of him called him an Angel, which served to keep his existence largely unknown, as belief in real angels was scarce. For a long time, he simply traveled the world, and then, quite a cosmic coincidence, he was killed by a direct impact from a meteor. By all intents and purposes, he was dead.
Not long after, a baby boy was found by a pair of explorers, Alexander Cameron and Helena Sandoval. Helena was already pregnant with their son Julius, and later would bear a daughter, Cleo. The two lovers were not sure how, or why, this baby boy had been left alone in the wilderness, but they took him in, and gave him a name, Ian. They cared for him and raised him, along with brother Julius. They had no idea just who he really was though, for another genetic miracle of the Adurans had surfaced, self resurrection. An amazing feat, that made the Adurans nearly deathless. They can bring themselves back from the brink of death, but with a side effect. The greater the cause of death, the harder it is for them to remember who and what they are, because every time they revive, they sometimes appear as children, or even newborns. Which made the knowledge of thousands of years, and previous generations, nearly impossible to be absorbed by a young and weak mind. So with the knowledge of his life and heritage locked away, Chaladar lived on, as the son of Alexander and Helena.
When he came to Paragon, he first was known as Scarlet Streak, but now... He is The Prince of Light.
Timeline
???? BC - A Kheldian splinter faction departs their ancestral home after facing a bloody war with the vile Nictus, the exiles are led by Lightspear and Whitefire to Aduros, a planet and safe haven far from the strife of their past. Upon discovering the existence of a race of Humans on the planet, the two races at first lived apart. As relations improved, so did the quality of life for all beings upon Aduros, until the day when the first merging of Kheldian exile and mortal man took place, a catalyst that spawned an empire. More and more mergings took place, and offspring were born from merged parents. The second great day for the people of Aduros came when a child, the first of many, was born from a Kheldian merged father (Dorlas / Silver Star), and an un-bonded human mother (N/A). The result was deemed as the first of a new race, a true harbringer for what was to come, an Aduran. A philosophical blending of Kheldian and Human into one mind, one body. The first true Aduran was named Keenan.
???? BC (Cont.) - Arestes, First Prince of the Aduran Empire, and greatest Aduran to have yet lived, dies after returning to the home from whence his forefathers came, seeking vengeance upon the Nictus. His life was culled by the horrendous energy sapping devices the Nictus use to gain power off their own brethren.
5336 BC - Chaladar, son of Arestes, is born. Minutes after awakening, the ceremony to name him First Prince took place, after the death of his father some time before.
4983 BC - Later in life, Chaladar earns the right to be named Warlord, after defending against several incursions upon their planet by various hostile forces. Acting as both Prince and Warlord, Chaladar effectively becomes nearly equal in power to High Lord Zeran, ruler of the Aduran Empire.
4883 BC to 59 BC - Feeling the pull of the boundless universe open to him, Chaladar delegates his offices to a pair of trusted friends, and departs Aduros by his own power, to explore the cosmos, to seek out new races, new planets, people to call friend, races to name as ally, and foes to face.
59 BC - Chaladar is rumored to have set foot upon Earth, in what was at the time, the Roman Empire. Further speculation places Chaladar in contact, briefly, with Gaius Julius (Julius Caesar).
49 BC - After spending ten years on Earth, taking in the culture, power, and philosophies of the legendary Romans, Chaladar departs for space once more. Barely missing Caesar's eternal march across the Rubicon, becoming undisputed master of Rome, and much of the world. He would also miss the death of Caesar, which came to pass only five years later.
August, 30 BC - Upon a brief return visit to Earth, and Rome, Chaladar learns of the death of Caesarion aka Ptolemy XV, son of Cleopatra VII and Julius Caesar. The news prompts his immediate departure yet again, distraught that a young man with such an incredible heritage and future before him, should be snuffed out like a candle, by those of his own house and blood.
30 BC to 1888 AD - After exploring the galaxy for another long duration, he returned to Earth for the third time, this time in the wilderness of California, in the budding nation of the United States of America.
1889 AD - A little over a year after being in California, gaining a small following of people who believed the winged-man to be an Angel, the Aduran was struck by a descending meteor, killing him instantly. But due to his power, his body forced a "reboot" to a prior state. Being killed by a meteor was severe enough, it sent the powerful alien back to a small, nearly newborn human baby. Days later, the 'baby' was found by a pair of explorers, A. Cameron and H. Sandoval, husband and wife to be. They took Chaladar in, named the boy Ian, and gave him a home.
1889 AD to 2002 AD - Chaladar lives a life as Ian Alexander Cameron, going through the trials and triumphs of a normal mortal man in the process, losing a sister, his parents, and estrangement from his brother. Upon getting access to a fraction of his Aduran powers, he adopts the name of Scarlet Streak, still unaware of his true heritage, as a space-faring alien. During this time, Ian wed, had children, and subsequently lost them in a horrific triple murder orchestrated and personally done by former 5th Column commandant, Ridolfo Uzzano aka Requiem. The Nictus within Ridolfo, Dirge of Entropy, knew what Ian truly was long before even he did. It was for this reason that host and Nictus made brutal attack against him and his family, in an attempt to keep the Aduran from fully awakening.
2002 AD - 2007 AD - Ian goes from wandering hero, Hero of Los Angeles, budding hero of Paragon City, Commander and Founder of Sentinels United, Statesman's Rescuer, death, rebirth as his true self, and death again.
November, 2007 AD to February, 2008 AD - The alien Prince lives within the body of his wife, Trilana Cameron aka Tigra Swipe, after narrowly escaping a mini-reality being destroyed by Requiem. For the moment, he reforms and regains power, until the day he can reconstitute himself once more, and be with his wife, daughters, friends and fellow heroes, in the flesh.
February, 2008 AD to August, 2008 AD - Ian Cameron aka Chaladar, has retaken a more physical shape. While not strong enough to reform his full human body, thanks to a specially designed suit from Serge, he has been able to "fill out" said suit which was made to act as something to contain his energy-based form until he can retake his human shape.
August, 2008 AD to Present Day
The Prince of Light was recalled back to his home planet for a time, and recently, returned. Armed with great power, great wisdom, and new and impressive armor, he is ready to fight the evils of this world once again.
More to come as his life goes on...
