Biography
Birth and Life
Sera Elizaeth Gheen was born in Mississippi in 1989, January 22nd. She was raised in the city of Jackson, where gangs and crime were everywhere at the time. Over the years, she went to school and became smart. At the age of 12, she lost her mother to leukemia. At 14, she lost her brother to it as well. Only her and her father remained, and she managed to graduate at 18. Unfortunately, her father died in a wreck while trying to make it to her graduation -- she walked there from home, while he drove.
By the age of 19, she decided to be a mercenary and a bounty hunter. She met and fell in love with a woman named Lori Edwards, and the two became secretly engaged. However, this was not to be. She returned home to find Lori with another woman, ending the relationship.
Transformation
Sera moved to Paragon City, Rhode Island in early 2010, at the age of 20. During this time, scientists were trying to find a cure for Superdine, which turned the victims into Trolls. It wasn't until June of 2010 that a mysterious faction calling themselves Ogres came to Paragon in a somewhat scale of invasion. Longbow defeated these Ogres and found a truck full of a golden fluid named Mundyne. Longbow took this to the labs, where Scientists began to experiment with this drug. However, studies revealed those taking Mundyne turned into the Ogres Longbow fought off. The scientists ordered the drug sent off to another lab for further analysis and hired Sera to escort the van.
Sera at the time had tanned white skin, brown hair, and brown eyes, standing 4' 9" tall and weighing a little over 100 pounds. But that was going to change. While escorting, she encountered the Trolls, who learned of Mundyne and wished to use it for their own purposes. She fought them off, but while not looking, a Troll sneaked into the van, killed the driver, and opened the back door, shoving a rack of Mundyne syringes into Sera -- accidentally, as he was trying to steal it. Overdosed with Mundyne, Sera passed out, the Trolls escaped, and it would be hours before Sera woke up.
It was night time. A dazed and confused Sera rose. She felt weak. Foggy-headed... strange. She would look for help, unaware of her changes until she tripped and fell into a puddle. Gasping at what she saw, Sera saw herself with long horns, dark brown skin, bright red hair, and double her size and mass. She was a powerhouse... but that came with the price of intelligence. She eventually found a small group of teenagers, asking for help in broken english. They ran, seeing her a freak. It wasn't long until a group of villains posing as Longbow got involved. Declaring her a Troll, they fired at her. She was eventually chased off, hiding in a van which was headed for Rogue Isles. A villainess had recently robbed the nearby Atlas Bank and was getting away.
Upon arival, the Villainess had a Code Blue: She got the money, but also found a scared, sobbing Sera. Cooing her and ushering her out, Sera soon explained her story to the villainess, who soon revealed herself as Lori Edwards. She felt sorry for Sera... and she also apologized what she did those years ago. She took Sera in, helping her cope with the changes, encouraging her to be a villainess.
Sera refused to become a villainess. Wishing Lori well, Sera decided she was going to prove she belonged in Paragon. She returned, and Longbow was the first to respond. Waving a white flag, Longbow took her in and soon identified her as Sera Gheen. At first they thought she was a Troll -- until they ran blood samples and found the drug Mundyne. Hearing Sera's story, Longbow saw that, instead of descending into a life of drugs and villainy, she wished to be a hero -- a force for good, as she was before her changes.
She was escorted, and registered as a Hero that same day. Today, she is vigilant in her cause and fights the forces of evil that threaten her home -- be it Paragon City or the World.
