History
Birth
Slate was born in Sonoma County, February 3rd 1984, to Jonah and Sarah Walker. By the age of five they had moved to New York City Where the GENESIS Company, owned by Slate's Uncle - Andrew Walker, was located. Jonah had been offered work at GENESIS in research and development, and Sarah taught English at a local High School.
About GENESIS
GENESIS was founded in 1932 by Andrew Walker, Sr. - 25 years old at the time. It was originally a Research and Development company that helped other companies to produce new and better materials than their competitors, but within six years GENESIS expanded into creating it's own weapons, medicines, transports, and had a science department that highly surpassed many of the competitors of that day. GENESIS' weaponry became a well needed, and highly sought after thing just one year on when World War II began. By the end of the war GENESIS contributed a vast majority of it's resources to help rebuild a broken world. As such their reputation and power increased greatly. By 1954 Andrew Walker, Sr. passed on the company to his son Andrew Walker, II. as Leukemia began to take ahold of him.
In 1965 GENESIS opened a school to help train special children with abilities in an attempt to guide possibly troubled youths on to a better life.
Andrew Walker, II. continued to run the company in the same way as his father - helping the company to grow strong and gain worldwide respect. By the 1990's GENESIS was one of the highest rated companies, along with Sony and Virgin.
Slate's Story, Continued
When Slate turned 12 he was chosen to be Andrew's heir, as he had no children of his own, to take over the company when Andrew passed on. As such Slate was given six personal Bodyguards/Mercenaries to protect him in case of any hostile takeover attempts were to arise. This group was called Spectrum, and was headed by a man called Michael Goodwin. The members of Spectrum were called Balts, Marron, Mavi, Verde, Rojo, and Uli. Balts and Verde became pretty close friends with Slate over the coming years - not to say the others didn't, just to a different degree.
At the age of fifteen Slate started to work with his Uncle - being introduced to all of the secrets behind GENESIS, the extra tasks that it would carry out - including the creation of Super Soldiers during WWII - which continued up until 1996 when an incident occured in their creation labs. Though little is known on that subject.
Over the years Slate continued working under his uncle - amassing knowledge and power that could bring GENESIS a much brighter future... Until August 5th, 2002 when Slate left the company. The official word was that he left on vacation, and then went to work at a branch of GENESIS in Costa Rica. Whether this is true or not is still unconfirmed.
GENESIS Dissolved
In 2005 GENESIS' President (Andrew Walker) died from unknown causes, and with Slate nowhere to be seen the company was Dissolved. The funeral was held on Live TV throughout the world on May 5th, 2005. It was a day nobody would forget.
Slate's Return
In November 2008 Slate reappeared, holding a press conference stating that he was recreating GENESIS and continuing the work of his uncle.
When asked why it took so long for him to rebuild his Uncle's company Slate was quoted to say "There were many factors which led to the decision that it would be a bad move reviving my uncle's legacy, but with the state of the world's economy and safety added into the equation I felt it was time for a strong hand to take the reins once more and help bring the world back to its feet."
The press conference left some questioning his motives, but the majority were extremely pleased to have GENESIS return.
Spectrum
The members of Slate's personal Bodyguards/Mercenary group are called Spectrum. Over the years they've stuck by his side through thick and thin.

Name: Michael Goodwin
Age: N/A - Looks Mid-twenties.

Michael oversees SPECTRUM, as well as being the Vice President of GENESIS. He works more behind the scenes than anything else - a desk monkey as it were - but is said to have been an active member of Spectrum during the 70's. Though, it is rumored that many years before he was Spectrum's strongest member.
Balts
Name: Balts Nightingale
Age: 27
Gender: Male
DOB: July 1st
Balts, who is three years older than Slate, is the youngest member of Spectrum. As such he, along with his brother Verde, got along really well with Slate.
Marron
Name: Marron Jones
Age: 30
Gender: Female
DOB: May 30th
Marron is the only female member of Spectrum, though doesn't let it phase her. She is one of the gang, just as much as anyone else, and can keep up with any other Spectrum merc.
Mavi
Name: Mavi Rukovich
Age: 36
Gender: Male
DOB: September 3rd
Mavi is not much of a fighter, in fact his main duty is to help keep his Spectrum family alive. He will use gunnery, but prefers to keep everyone in good health and good spirits.
Verde
Name: Verde Nightingale

Gender: Male
DOB: January 11th
Verde, Balts' older brother, is one of two members of Spectrum (the other being Rojo) who do the behind-the-scenes work - The dirty jobs that nobody should have to deal with. As such they're the highest paid members of Spectrum.
Rojo
Name: Rojo ??
Age: Unknown, looks to be in his 30's
Gender: Male
DOB: ?
Rojo is a bit of a mystery, even to the other member's of Spectrum who have known him since the formation of Spectrum itself.. He get's along fine with everyone, but still.. There's just something about him. His only true confidant is Michael, who apparantly was his teammate many years ago.
Uli
Name: Uli Savon
Age: 38
Gender: Male
DOB: December 26th
Uli "Powerhouse" Savon, the toughest member of the team - and ironically the friendliest - who goes in first to make sure his friends never get hurt. When Uli first met Slate he accidentally broke his arm by giving him a rather large welcome hug. Slate has forgiven him and now he and Uli get along well.
