Talk:Ascendant
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Rest in Peace, Tre Chipman, AKA Ascendant. You will be missed. - Glimmershade 6/27/2013 10:33AM
Hey Ascendant, how did that "saving the universe" "thing" ah, 'mission?'... 'I guess?' go? I didn't see any big flashes in the sky, you know? From space or anything. I was kinda expecting at least, 'you know?' a super nova, or something. /e, shrug Well, its great having you back on good ol' Earth.
um... it is the same Earth you left, right? I mean, there aren't any intelligent Apes or anything... what was that noise...Quiet American
Hey, is this the same Ascendant that scored some modest fame when a phone transcript was released to the public? A phone chat between Ascendant and his misguided agent?
"Ascendant stores all of his gear in his incredible A-Hole."
I wanted some of that cereal, too...
No matter how many times I read this, it just gets funnier. Well done Ascendant. Just out of curiosity, where is that music clip really from? Joesav71
- That is Stout Hearted Men as performed (after a fashion) by none other than William "Shooby" "The Human Horn" "I Have Several Nicknames" Taylor. Shooby recorded upwards of a hundred tapes, and despite a brief (<10 second) appearance on Showtime At the Apollo, never gained any fame until he accidentally left one tape behind in a recording studio and pretty much became an overnight hit in the "bad music" circles. I respect and admire Shooby because he never gave up the fight, never gave in to criticism, and kept doing what he loved even though he was so very, very awful at it. I think that if people who practice art-- any art-- had the kind of fearlessness that Shooby had in creating his music, people like Da Vinci wouldn't be so rare... Then again, neither would people like Cyrus Sullivan. -Ascendant
Hazard Warning
There really ought to be some sort of warning label on this thing. I was already sniggering uncontrollably when I got to the description of the Griddler, and I almost chocked with laughter on that one. --Meagen 13:35, 18 May 2007 (MST)
I just about died on the Griddler and I was in stitches reading Tyrannosaurus Mex, great stuff I love it! - Ransim 00:55, 21 May 2007 (MST)
We love you, Ascendant. Than
Hey Big A -- where are the rest of the stories? Phone transcripts? Get your lazy butt to wiki'ing! -- SusieBot 11:55, 22 June 2007 (MST)

We would be VERY remiss in not including this as a possible featured Article. -- Soul Train 12:10, 3 June 2008 (MST)
Random Hello
Hi Ascendant! I bumped into you in Pocket D and wanted to say hi. =) --Dispari 01:49, 13 September 2008 (MST)
PUN ALERT
"More troubling is the fact that Tyrannosaurus Mex has a small offspring on the loose, which has been dubbed the Chimichupacabra.
Ascendant has recently learned that the Tyrannosaurus Mex is actually under the control of a sect of Mexican food-worshiping magic users, known only as the Nachosen."
Too... many puns... per square inch...
I love the contrast between Doctor Crom and Ascendant. You'd think a villain as sinister as Crom would have a more serious adversary, but he's stuck with the guy that has a string of crappy product placements. --Spacetree
