Pink Defense

Pink really is a good girl, a bit bubbly and mysterious at times but hey what do you expect from someone who got her start as a cheerleader who was saved by the original Pink Neo Ranger. Sadly Pink died fighting the Rikti and the Neo Rangers disbanded. Pink herself pushed on, taking on the task of protecting the protectors. It has been a long road that has turned a brilliant but untapped mind from a technological wonder to a miricle of science, no longer does she need her armor to use her powers due to over exposure to Terra Volta but her story is still evolving much like her body. Note: Pink has limited empathy, notably she can sense the wants or others and at times subconscious adjusts her personality and even appearance to match. She has a faint bit of tiger in her scent. Due to long-term exposure to Terra Volta her blood could hold unexpected side effects for any vampires or transfusions. She has a fain aura of magic about her, it's very faint.

Way of Ice

Trained in the Hidden Academy of the Ninjas of the 3 Ways Nikki lead a double life. A Surfer girl at day, a practicing ninja after school. Aligned to the Way of Water she was dedicated but often late to classes then one day she was abducted by a rival school needing a lab rat for their stolen formula to make a super soldier. Adapted from the one that created Neko's Law Nikki was thrown into a small cell and injected. You now see the result. Her condition deteriorating she sought mystical help and was transformed to a were tiger but she refuses to accept her new nature and fight her own inner beast.

Way of the Tiger

My father runs a multinational corporation. And i like totally get whatever i want. So like i wanted to have cool ninja moves and he got me into the Academy of Earth, Air, and Water. When I wasn't doing so good as a Air Ninja he had me exposed to a experimental drug that gave me the agility of the cat. Then the bastard says some BS about me "going feral" and turns me into a monster. He apparently found a better fix and changed me back to a more human form but now I have fur ICK! Ok so he got rid of the fur and most of those nasty instincts now so i guess i can let him of the hook but there better not be anything freaky coming later! Man you never know how much you miss something till it's gone, with winters chill i began to miss my fur, thanks again to my dad i was able to get a nice warm winter coat, and he promises me it will go away when the weather gets warmer *purrrrrr*

Robin Red Hawk (Ff/Psi magic defender)

The idea is Robin was spoiled. The first child syndrome, basically her parents gave her anything she wanted but while she may not be an irresponsible Paris Hilton (her parent weren't rich so she didn't get extravagant stuff) she ended up with a rather self-involved outlook. Of course good friends and family tempered that but the fact is still she was fawned over and when Stephen cam along and she was expected to look after him she tended to ignore her responsibilities and only looked after Stephen when it was convenient for her. Now before I go on I should make some points crystal clear. Robin may be spoiled but she's not a bad kid. She does love and care for her brother, and they did do fun things together however she never really thought much about family commitments. Her mind always rationalized it that there would be time to “do it later.”

A neophyte in the Invasion of 2004 Neko fought hard but was hospitalized many times, death was all around her and in the end when the evil aliens were beaten back and the city in shambles she pledged to never let that happen again. Seeking communion with dark spirits she sold her humanity to gain the grace of the cats and the powers of darkness, her rage fueling her destructive bolts of energy but she never forgot her role as a defender and turns her dark powers to the protection of others. CURENTLY dry, has paws not hands, thicker fur, digigrade feet as well.

Rescued from the Rikti by heroes Neko swore to live up to their courage, training her body and mind she designed a costume based on her favorite animal, the Cat, and armed with her gadgets and 'push gloves' she is taking back the city, one gang at a time.

Born half human, half cat Neko was a nurse during the invasion of '04. As the Rikti broke into the hospital her mind lashed out at them and her body exploded with green light healing the injured before she was knocked cold.

Seeking to distance herself from the mutation that gave her blue fur no other feline traits she took on the persona of a cat so as to make herself seem more then she is, even going so far as to play up catgirl stereotypes.

Nuclear Tiger (rad/energy mut def)

Catgirls sure do flock to Paragon don't they? Well it was only a matter of time before one had a kid. Her mother spent a lot of time protecting the Terra Volta Reactor which is the cause of my distress. My body like the reactor is a nuclear power plant and I don't have full control yet. This suit I wear allows me to harness that radiation as a Defender. The vents on the side of my helmet take in air which is used to cool my systems, my blasts are discharges of coolant expelled when its either to hot or in excess.

Susurration (sonic/sonic tech def)

Sus is a mutant able to produce solid sound however the amp needed strips her throat raw. With the aid of a helmet she can produce the same effect with a lower amperage but still she is left with permanent laryngitis from all the yelling.

Vulcan Neko (Stone armor/fire melee mag tnk)

Caught in a magic spell meant for the Rikti Neko was transformed into a cat moment before she accidentally jumped into a volcano. She emerged encased in rock and able to draw on that power.

A innocent pawn in a CoT ritual Neko found her body being twisted in unnatural ways, the timely intervention of a hero saved her from death but left her a inhuman beast. After much study into her nature however she decided to turn her transformation to good use and struck out with spell book in hand to help Paragon. 5th place in brunettehealer's costume contest

Daughter of a reporter and a housewife their is little explanation for her superhuman strength, speed, and invulnerability. Or so it seems at first. It is a closely guarded secret but her parents were actually a power pair of heroes. a virtual superman and a wonder of a woman. In that light it s no surprise she was born with abilities similar to them.

Purple Presence (warshade)

Alexendria Cassanova was a NeoRanger a brand of heroes formed by the military endowed with great power, her signature color was pink, that was before she was stranded in space, her life support failing her life ebbing Zerathis the Devourer found her. Seeking redemption a pact was made "Look you can die in space or fuse with me." their wasn't much choice and Purple was born. They returned to paragon with a new purpose, their fused identity one mind not two. The new Purple seeks 2 things, the justice her former life pursued fused with Zera's thirst for souls. And so they hunt the underworld...feasting on the souls of the corrupt.

Then when she reached her 20th security level she received a gift from a unknown admirer. Her tech based aug suit having taken many a beating she tried the new one only to find herself trapped in the anatomically correct magical cat suit, and having instincts! Try as she might the instinct, the cat in the suit, becoming more and more a part of her. She took a mate, the male wearer of the other suit and bore a litter, taking a break to raise her family for over a year she has since returned to her duties but old friend might notice a difference in her personality. Has the cat won? Four year and counting trapped in the catsuit has had a definite effect on her...

In his own time James fought Tyrant with the Resistance and cybernetic implants, however when a “Time Watch” was invented by Calvin Scott with the intent to let him jump back in time to save his wife James stole it, however the user conflict instead jumped him into a parallel timeline where tyrant never ruled, at first he though the Freedom Phalanx the enemy but eventually was set right, however he still distrusts “Statesman's gang.”

Unbreakable Girl (Mut tanker kin melee/sr)

When Jamie missed the school buss again he ran to catch it, and something happened, it slowed, but he did not, propelling forward and into a wall. When she awoke she found herself in a hospital and a girl! However she soon learned as she expelled stored kinetic energy she would return to a boy, heady with the power and anonymity she went on a tear through Paragon however Ms. Liberty stopped her and eventually showed her the good she could do with her powers. As Unbreakable Girl she is still a bit reckless but is growing to like the fame of being a heroine.

Police Drone LX (tech enrg/empathy defender)

The Drone is a marvel of engineering, a high tech automated police drone in a human shell. However what few know is it is not a automaton but a suit of armor for the young woman inside who desperately wanted to protect her city but was not qualified as a hero or for the PPD.

Dr. Leona Fine (claws/fire armor sci Scpr)

Progenitor of the cTX formula Leona always wanted to be a catgirl and worked hard to get that wish, however her formula nearly killed her and in her t hows she knocked over other chemicals and the lab went up. However she survived, and like Neko Man continues to work on her formula refining it over several iterations and removing the flaws before the manifest unlike others who do life tests to find the flaws.

Way of Shadow

The Way of the Hidden Eye serve as judges and guardians of the others ways, a secret sect of assassins only a few of the other Masters of the Way even know about. Shadow takes it one step further, having bound herself to a Oni, a demon spirit, sh currently controls it and it's power but has taken a more demon form as a result, by the same token she is sometimes influenced by her demon's desires. Such as finding a mate whose soul would provide the sustenance she needs to unlock more demonic power.

Way of Rain

Rain is a halfling demoness, who was abandoned to die on earth, she was adopted by the Thunder brothers and raised as their sister. Though both are attracted to her. She is in turn attracted to them and has dated them on and off over the years as well as becoming a valued member of the Storm Academy.

Way of Air

Air bears a curse even she is not aware of, a mark on her face that appeared suddenly and torturous dreams about defiling and destruction. Her willpower has held these thoughts in check and kept her grounded for now. What she does not know is that The Exemplar of Shadow has used her as a grounding rod, a sort of wifi sponge of the excess demon energy she has bonded with. Believing Air (like Ice and Earth) were not destined for Exemplar status she used her as a convenient dump of her excess demonic energy,

Way of Earth

Disfigured and nearly killed several years ago in the cross fire of a super powers fight Ethan was lucky enough to draw the eye of the same super group that would later take in Gi Gina and saved with advanced prosthetics. Later in his career however he is offered a chance to fix his battered body, and takes the chance only to be transformed into a reptilian female, stripped of her voice and her free will. Eventually she recovers the latter but remains permanently stuck as a cyborg female lizard.

Armor-Man

Fighting, and committing crime, requires gear, AM provides that, and with a network of armor-bot no one is sure who the ream man is. However arms dealer or not he does not approve of lethal weapons and anyone found modding his gear will face his wrath. By the same token anyone who harms his daughter will also pay!

Red Mage

Playing one to many games and reading one to many ancient tomes has convinced RM that he is inside a game, and that by editing his character sheet he can change the rules...sometimes it actually works.

Patriot (From Fair Use Policy arc)

The brightly colored and friendly man has always looked up to people like Statesman, and truth is he yearned to be like him. For months he tried to make it as a unpowered hero but all he made was enemies, eventually being captured by Crey, only then did his luck turn around as he manged to get free of his confines and giving it all or nothing broke into their lab where they were doing powers testing and mixed several veils, ingesting the result.

Gadget Boy

All flash and no substance Gadget-Boy is the oposit of the drab but functional Armor-Man and a sort of revelry exists between them. Gadget boy is a dedicated hero but put more emphasis on making his gadgets look cool th be functional, they are not useless only overly flashy.

Knight

Knight comes from the future, back to our time with the goal of seeing our world free. Armed with high tech armor and just as high tech a sword and shield he is often compared to Gabriel or Righteous but with a sci-fi slant, an Paladin of the yet to come.

The Wonder

Deriving power from a Crey experimental drug the Wonder was granted great strength and toughness, however the drug soon became a burden requiring more and more injections, even going so far as requiring a constant IV just o keep him alive near the end.

The Captain

The Captain is a cripple with a body just not up to snuff, it's like he was only made 80% effective. But desiring to serve his country h had his limbs replaced and much of his body upgraded with high tech prosthetic so he could serve and protect.

Wulf

Originally a renegade Council Warwolf it soon became more, a cure, a true lycanthrope, though he is unsure how he made the transition.

Clone Boy

Working originally with Dr. Aeon he built a belt that let him clone himself, however as he continued to work for Arachnos he found himself at odds, sometimes helping sometimes hindering them.

Neo Red

After the Neo Rangers disbanded, and several years later he found the old army base and the technology inside and began the process of reforming the Neo Rangers. Red has a uncanny ability to boost his attributes, strength, toughness, etc one at a time to super human ranges.

Techmaster (Robots MM)

Using Lasers and just a single Assault Bot TM works to prove his skill to Lord Recluse.

Feline Grace

A cub reporter trying to get the scoop on The Wonder he senses something big inside her and arranges for her for a tour of Terra Volta, as he suspects the cores energies induce her latent mutation. Grace only has low level feline attributes, a tail and paw like feet so The Wonder arranges for her to get further augmented with a power suit.

Loving Superheros since she was a child but being the daughter of arms dealer Armor-man (though no one outside her knows this) is a tricky life but she made a decision and her father supported her, designing custom armor just for her.

When the Skulls got a hold of Neko's Law variant of the CTX several tried it, only one survived, and like Neko's Law she gained control over similar forces.

Alley Cat/Valley Cat

Cat is a very city girl, without the least idea how to survive in the wild like a cat should, as a mutant she also has magnetic powers and feline senses and agility.

A amazonian princess sent to earth to protect the women there, she has numerous magical items such as a rainbow sled, singing sword and so on, her people are what inspired the Magical Girl genre.

Purrisia

As a girl she found herself picked on for her growing feline traits, but unlike other mutants she decided to embraces the changes. At first she bought a suit on the black market to augment her body and senses however after some time she found a amulet that brought out the cat in force and has never powered down since.

Shock

Born male and granted electromagnetic powers in a chemical accident at the docs eventually Crey caught up to him and used their Mynx experiment on him, before he knew it he had turned into a female feline. Eventually she is the mother to Valley Cat.

Black Raven

Just as Robin was resurrected from the gang cross fire as a avatar of good, who as she grew more powerful became more bird like Raven, her brother, was chosen to oppose her as a servant, willing, of darkness, given promises of power if he could kill the avatar of light.

They succed but Gina rebelled, turning on the mercenaries and implanting them with chips, now if they did not follow her orders she made their brains explode. But revenge came in a mage for hire who turned GI-AI int flesh, a catgirl, giving her real needs and wants, and desires....

Ways of Thunder & Lightning

The brothers Thunder and Lightning are the stars of the Storm Academy, excelling in all things while still maintain civilian lives as high school kinds and motocross fans. They are like 2 peas of the same pod, inseparable and always backing each other up.

The Doc and the Surgeon

The Doc is a high tech hero who started out in the MASH unit during the Rikti War, he followed a group of heroes much like the Omega Team to assault the Rikti homeworld but they were capture and/or killed. His ingenuity let his survive and hide out until he could secretly kill a Rikti, take his armor and then hid in their ranks. Once he was given marching orders for Primal Earth he 'arranged' for his own defeat and then hooked up with a super group to take the fight back to the Rikti, now empowered by years of exposure to their sciences and technology. He is the one who rebuilds Way of Earth and Gi Gina.

The Surgeon on the the other hand thrives on twisting heroes to be his personal army, he had his hands in the transformation of Way of Earth as well as Luc-El to Lucent Neko.

Neo Rangers and New Neo Rangers

The Neo Rangers were a paramilitary group run out of a mountain bunker. The Neos used crashed alien technology of unknown origin to create a set of super suits and fight the Rikti and other super powered menaces. Unfortunately funding dropped out and the project was abandoned. The Neo rangers fought as long as they could but without backup, resources, or a way to maintain their equipment they one by one all fell to their enemies. The New Neo Rangers were founded by a young man who manged to find the old base while spelunking and was able to recover 3 of the suits that were the least damaged: Red, Blue and Yellow, and gathered what he could of Black, Green, and White. Over the course of the next few months he was able to refit and rebuild the prime 3 suits and began looking for allies to join him in a revival of this group of heroes.

Booty Call (flight, stone melee, super reflexes) and PAWS (bio armor and claws)

During Neko-Man's short stint as a hero he sought a sidekick and found a young college girl, and made a blunt offer “I'll give you any powers you want but your personal concubine.” She accepted after a bit but eventually Neko left for the rogue islands, left horny and alone she soon found her own side kick, made a similar offer and PAWS was born.

Leopard Prime and the crew

While doing a contract for Crey an independent flight company was shot down, the mix of chemicals, including CTX turned one of the crew into a catgirl, much to his dismay, but granted her control of machines and a desire to mate with the angle like pilot of the small crew. The other crew members include the pilot who grows angle wings and a charismatic aura. The co-pilot who gains heightened senses with makes her a expert marks man but also gives her a lizard like skin complete with periodic shedding and a petrifying gaze, and the emergency medic (Leo was the security detail) who gains powers similar to a Paragon Protector.

Chris/Angela (spines/regen mutant scrapper)

A psionic mutant with the power to shape flesh and even his gender. Using the later to set up dates for her “brother” and generally get a free peep shop. Later on he is the mother of Neo Red.

Big Bertha, Mind Master and Napalm

Bertha is The Wonder's daughter, a petty thief on the surface she has the power to grow and odd blue skin. More so Bertha can take super drugs and never suffer the ugly side effects and posses a publicly unknown charisma power as well as low level psionic talents. Joining with a physically weak by psychicly strong Mind Master they were able to enslave a young fire mutant, Napalm, who worked as a simple teacher, twisting his mind into something far more devious and fitting their needs.

Spider-Guy! And the Avatars

When his home burned down as a child Lenard Yang was the only survivor, claiming a spirit spider lead him out. For the next decade he lived on the streets, honing his danger senses and his skills just to get by day by day until a master of a group of Demon Hunters discovered and took him him. Lenard is a bit unbalanced, believing he is in his own comic and tends to break the 4th wall a lot but he is a masterful Demon Hunter as well. Later on Bast recruits him along with 4 others for a dangerous mission with the fate of the world in the balance. These other heroes include a mutant catgirl who is unable to speak but has constructed a suit of armor that lets her fight and functions as the hands she lacks; Rocket girl from the Psi-Ger arc, the feral mutant's sister; Sharon; and Steel Paw.

Arachnos Rangers

The Arachnos Rangers are a group of elite solders of Arachnos given high tech battle armor and used as a first strike team in sensitive missions for Lord Recluse, they also have a PR division that spins their missions into a Pro Arachnos propaganda comic.

David, Jack, Calico and Roma

David and Jack were sons of Mu, and initials in the Circle of Thorns, but when they learned they would be vassals to older souls they paniced, and combined their sorcery and their technical know how to empower 2 girls to protect them, those girls became Calico the catgirl and Roma the wolf.

Major Harkins (Arachnos X)

Early in the war he got his hands on some destroyed Rikti tech and managed to reverse engineer it. However it did him little good without the backing to take advantage of his work. Lord Recluse offered the backing, at a price. He has since lost track of how many of his morals he has violated.

Col. Grey (Arachnos X)

Caught in the explosion of nuclear weapon test he should have died. Instead his mutation manifested, absorbing and internalizing the radiation while mutating his body to better handle it. A decorated soldier only one man could give him the resources to fight back...and all it cost him was his honor.

Lord Recluse (Arachnos X)

Ruler of the Rogue Island Lord Recluse leads with a iron fist and a contempt for others bordering on psychotic. He watched Paragon City fall without raising a finger. Those who have heard him talk of the Herald see a fury uncommon in the man, perhaps that link is best left buried...

Requiem (5th Column X, note there is no Council X)

It is clear that the Invasion provided to much chaos for the Center to size control leaving the 5th in command to this day. Requiem is a man of few words but his actions are clear. The Fifth are to destroy the Rikti wherever they breed and Requiem will see the Herald’s head on his mantle.

General Paine (Arachnos X)

Some people are gifted power though mutation but others, like Sandra Paine gain it though sheer force of will. She already commanded a group of men for the US Military before hooking up with Arachnos for financial backing for the war, and before she could sooth her men's pain with a short speech.

Thugz Killa (Resistance)

When the world has gone to hell in a hand basket sometimes you have to break the rules just to get by. More then one person has question Thugz murder and arsonist tendencies even if it was to save people from Arachnos and the Rikti, but few question the mutant Robin Hood's heart.

Officer Xanatos (Resistance)

Student under Blue Steel Lindsey Xanatos has often been considered one of the best cops in the Paragon Police Department. Beside her partner Officer Carmen Santos they stand as a light of hope in a bleak future, one protecting Paragon City, the other the Rogue Islands.

Neko's Law (Primal Earth Heroes)

With the Rikti invading Officer Xanatos was left in a tight position. Paragon R&D had recently confiscated a pair of bio-morphic drugs and believed they had a solution for the super soldier program, but it was untested. Lindsey took the untested formula and became a negative energy generator/catgirl

Pink Defense (Primal Earth Heroes)

Learning of the Neo Rangers, a super soldier team for the US military, had already lost “Codename Pink Neo Ranger” she realized one simple fact. Even the protectors sometimes need protecting. And so she set out to do just that. It was not a easy road but her own ingenuity has seen her though.

The Hunter (Rikti Elite Guard)

Zealous to almost a point of suicidal The Hunter's name is spoken of in hushed whispers. Few know of her human name and even fewer care, all that matters to the people of Earth X is staying out of the sights of her twin pistols.

The Fire Warden (Rikti Elite Guard)

During the invasion of '04 The Fire Warden and The Freezer were the Vanguard of the Rikti attack forces. The Fire Warden in particular eared a early reputation for ruthlessness and a eagerness to burn everything to ash. Few ever lived to see the tears in her eyes every time someone fell to her touch

The Freezer (Rikti Elite Guard)

With a heart of ice the Freezer has carved a path of death in her wake, bodies buried and broken at her feet seem to be drained of all body heat, almost as if The Freezer was feeding on their warmth, those who have encountered her often recall feeling the “chill hand of death” in her presence.

A name whispered in hushed fear, The Herald Among the Rikti's warrior class he has no equal, not even in The Honoree. He stands above all his peers as executioner and lord of conquest. And his word, absolute law, for those who defy The Herald do not live long.
