Afflictions
Violet Roe has joined the Arachnos cell Blackweb as a loosely affiliated contractor. She was recruited by the group's founder Operative Scanlon during the early days of the organization.
Personality
Roe is a headstrong and cocky thief who has been known to pull off the most daring heists across the Isles. She meets everyone with a casual attitude and flaunts the rules of an organization like Blackweb wherever she can. However, she does respect the chain of command(to a point) and knows when playing by the rules is to her advantage.
History
Origins: A Legacy Begins
Little is known about the woman called Violet Roe. All files pertaining to her name have been mysteriously erased. However, a skilled investigator can piece together her history from other sources around Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.
Roe began her days as the protege of a famous hero The Trenchcoat Terror.
As "The Purple Brawler" the two took on forces around Kings Row with stunning efficiency. The Terror believed that The Brawler would continue the legacy he had fought so hard to build. However, The Terror's most persistent foe Andrew Saxson, severely injured both heroes while piloting a suit of power armor atop the Saxson Tower in Steel Canyon.
The Terror went into retirement, while The Brawler decided to join the Longbow Special Agents training program to fight the so called "real villains" of the city, not just corrupt business men.
Working for the Big Dogs
"Roe" flourished in Longbow Agent Training, using the skills The Terror taught her and her years of experience to take on all the challenges the Longbow threw at her. Soon, she was in the field known as codename "Violet."
"Violet" worked with other Longbow Agents "Indigo" and "Crimson" taking down several major threats in Paragon.
Fallen Mentor
Violet's Longbow career was taking off as she was making a name for herself in the hushed whispers of villains. Through her sources, however, she heard that a member of Andrew Saxson's security team took out "The Terror" with a simple explosive. His body was never found. The Terror's current trainee, Fray Fire, found the tattered remains of the Terror's coat. Fray later attempted to return it to Violet as a gesture of solidarity, but she declined and dropped out of the Longbow program soon after.
Explorations
"Violet" traveled across the world finding herself due the death of her former mentor. She started to pick up various martial arts styles as she went as well as procuring mystical items. Violet began to make her name as a high profile thief as she pulled off outrageously difficult heists throughout the world and selling the items to the highest bidder. The Longbow got wind of this and sent an agent to deal with her. Stella Spectre and Violet faced off in a far flung mountain monastery while Violet attempted to liberate one of the monks' most sacred scrolls. The two former friends fought tooth and nail until Stella gained the upperhand. Violet, in a desperation attempt, plucked out Stella's left eye with a precision move. Violet left Stella screaming her lungs out on the floor of the monastery's courtyard and fled with the sacred scroll.
Rogue Isles: New Chapter
Violet made landfall in the Isles looking for new prospects. She created a new identity for herself as the enigmatic master thief known as "Violet Roe" and began snatching up items from all the organizations that operate in the Isles. She crossed paths with the Ex-detective Nicky Rogers and his gang, who himself sought out mystical items for his own gain. The two have developed a "Friendly" rivalry as Roe enjoys toying with Rogers' mind.
They are on speaking terms at the moment and Roe will occasionally contact him for tactical back up if a Blackweb member is unavailable. Rogers once helped her pull off a daring heist of a powerful Circle of Thorns crystal from a millionaire collector.
Roe also has connections to the O.N.E Projects ArsenalOne and OmegaOne as the two will pretty much do anything for an excuse to cause a little trouble. A girl like Roe always need a distraction or two handy.
Currently, Roe operates under the watchful eye of Blackweb superiors while continuing to steal items for high profile collectors willing to pay large amounts of money. She also enjoys the perks of being an "Arachnos Operative" including Flyer privileges, "badass" maces and the ability to call anyone Jenkins and get away with it.
Testing Loyalties
Recently, after reaching the maximum threat level in the Longbow's classification system Roe disappeared for a few months, only to return to Blackweb as a full-blown Arachnos Widow "on loan" to Black Scorpion from Ghost Widow. It made sense to Blackweb superiors that Roe should become a Widow, but little is known if the choice was hers...or something forced upon her.
After the Fall
Currently working with the reformed "Midnight Society" as a "Physical Security Consultant." Simply known as Roe, she watches over the aging safe in the Society's repurposed 1900 bank headquarters. Sometimes she trains the new researchers how to defend themselves. Other times, she "procures" dangerous items from "private collectors." Her post Blackweb/Arachnos past is something she doesn't want to talk about.
Triva
- Owns several high priced sports bikes as she used to ride a Harley as The Purple Brawler
- Doesn't drink alcohol at all as the Terror was an alcoholic.
- Hates her parents...whoever they might be.
OOC Triva
- Used to be claws/regen and wore what was pretty much a one piece swimsuit with thigh high boots. The original Violet Roe was designed as a foe for Blizzard Blaster and hated magic users
- The Purple Brawler was actually originally meant as a Post War Hero identity for Freedom Franny
- Last name Roe was my best friend's idea as she was a big fan of the medic Eugene Roe from "Band of Brothers."
