Wildfire is, without a doubt, my most original character. That being said, anywhere you find an arrogant, foolhardy, brave and somewhat silly character, you'd probably find a little bit o' him or her in Wildfire.
But mostly him.
Y'know, since he's male and all.

Friends? Yeah, I've got friends. What's it to ya?
Wildfire associates with many people. As a hero, he is often seen with members of The Artful Dodgers. He has become quite curious about Jessie Tell and often meets Kid Whip after he finishes work. However, these three have never battled evil as a trio.
Wildfire also maintains a healthy relationship with his former girlfriend, Ms. Matter and her supergroup, The Reclaimers, which he helped found. They are currently stationed in England.
Wildfire was once part of The Dreamers, an Australian version of The Artful Dodgers. His sidekick, Cicada Boy, took over his role as combat leader when he left.
After being fired from one job, he gained employment at GIFT alongside Antonio Nash, where he hoped to gain insight into newer heroes and his own powers that seemed to be increasing day by day.
After he turned 21, Wildfire assumed the role of CEO at MagniCorp, due to a clause in Johann Magni's will which indicated that if someone has a criminal record, that they are unable to retain any asset gained beforehand. This means that it must be passed to the next 'clean slate' in line, regardless of their magical ability (or lack thereof).
Personality
Personality? I'm full of it. 'Course, some people'd say I'm full of something else.
One look at Wildfire and you'd immediately expect him to be an arrogant jerk. For the most part, you'd be right.
Scratch the surface however and you'll find a semi-complex human being who jumps into the fray whenever he gets the chance. Wildfire is kind, funny, confident and occasionally an UNSTOPPABLE KILLING MACHINE! *explained below*
Origin
Early Childhood
Yeah, I had one, what's it to ya?
When Wildfire was born on his dad's private island, he had the world at his feet. That is, until his dad realised that not only did Wildfire not have a single scrap of a magical aura, but he didn't have a twin either! As a member of the unbelievably, stupidly, incredibly, rediculously rich Magni family that was only really known for being rich, magical and having twins all over the place, he was immediately branded an invalid and denied a lot of things. His dad named him Wildfire, in hopes that he would somehow gain magical power through his name.
He may not have even seen the good in the world, if it wasn't for his mum, Mia Magni. She protected him from his brother's fire magic with her healing abilities, that she shared with her own twin sister, Sophia. However, as Mia fell pregnant again (this time with twin girls) it became obvious that she would not last. Wildfire begged her to perform a ritual that would allow the babies to develop outside of the womb, thus saving her...but Mia wouldn't hear of it. She kept saying that this was the way it had to be.
After Mia's Death
Me mum...she was awesome.
When the doctor pulled out Lillith and Sapphira Magni, everyone was overjoyed. Everyone, except Wildfire. He knew what was bound to happen and three days later, it did.
When Castor and Pollux, Wildfire's older brothers realised what had happened, they immediately chased him down and mercilessly burnt him. However, Wildfire survived. Every time that they burnt him from then on, he seemed to feel the pain of fire a little less! Soon enough, he was resistant enough to fight back...however, that was when their dad stepped in and sent Wildfire to...
Military School?
Kids, don't got to military school. It's too easy to escape!
Yes, a military school! However, he was constantly bullied there not only by the other students, who called him 'freak,' 'moneybags' and 'halfbreed,' among other things, but also by the drill seargents, who wanted him to kill his family! After all, being rich doesn't mean everyone likes you. Soon enough, Wildfire managed to disable the school's security system and escaped.
But, he was found and sent to a tougher military school.
He excaped from there too.
So, he was found again and sent to a military school in China.
But, he escaped from there embarassingly quickly.
So, he was found again and set on fire by his brothers, until a pamphlet from another military school appeared.
Another Military School...or is it?
Ah, PFA. Home of freaks, wierdoes...and that hole I blasted in the science lab with an exploding arrow. What?
As Wildfire prepared to go to yet another military school, he promised himself that he wouldn't even stay for a month here. However, this was no military school! It was in fact a moving school lead by the retired hero Gravito! The school had been set up to help youngsters all over the world who, for whatever reason, were gifted. If the gift was artistry, there was a place for you. If your gift was shooting fire from your hands, there was a place for you.
In Wildfire's case, Gravito happened to have seen him at an archery tournament (that Wildfire won, by the way.) As was the way at Gravito's school, he was paired up with a mentor, who happened to be Tia, AKA Ms. Matter! It was unusual for a mentor to be the same age as his or her mentoree, but Wildfire was a special case.
Almost immediately, Wildfire and Tia got along. It turned out that Mia's family thought she was a freak because she had powers. Wildfire, without any supernatural power, suggested that the two were switched at birth. They both laughed for a long time after that one.
Learning to let go
Vengance sucks. It's fun, but it sucks.
Tia, as a mind reader, happened to sense that Wildfire had a lot of anger. It wasn't surprising, as Wildfire was often in detention for fighting with someone or another. He usually won, of course, but he was still pretty angry.
Soon enough, they found the reason. After Mia's death, Wildfire had been subconsciously beating himself up for not being good enough for anyone. Via psychic therapy and a lot of help from their friends Calvin and Daniel Jones (their allies in the reclaimers) Wildfire managed to let go of his anger. He still hates his brothers, but he found himself able to concentrate on other things, like his new powers!
Due to his constant hatred of himself and nearly everyone around him, Wildfire had accidentally been suppressing his mutant ability-when concentrating, he was able to detect tiny details in objects and even find out where they were originally sold! With the help of his new attitude and friends, mastering this gift was no issue.
After Graduation...
If only my brothers could see me now-oh yeah, magic-they probably can.
After a series of adventures (and misadventures) Wildfire finally graduated from school. He returned home and, while evading his brother's firey attacks, practiced his archery. His sisters, who had met him many times and saw him as a real superhero due to his lack of magical power (which made him unnatural and really cool to study in their eyes) suggested that he become a hero. Knowing that his aunt Sophia had a fledgling group of troublemaking heroes and that the two had never really met, he set off for Australia. However, before he left, he ordered his sisters to stay on the island. After all, they'd be better off there.
Soon after joining The Dreamers, Wildfire was their battle leader. Every manouvre they undertook was perfectly executed. That is, until he realised that the government was directly controlling their missions! No wonder they never got to go after Rikti or anything 'fun.' During this time of despondancy, Wildfire's leadership abilities began to slip. With a heavy heart, he secretly left them to move to Paragon City, where he hoped to find what he thought was missing.
Movin' on up!
Oh yeah, the Row's great-if you don't mind the muggers, rapists, mind-controlling bums...oh, and hard ass bosses that don't let you have time off for dislocated shoulders.
Unlike many heroes, Wildfire boarded a ship to travel to Paragon City. In return for working hard, the captain told Wildfire about his brother, a boarderline anal retentive who had a bike shop. Wildfire thank the captain and rode his bike through Independance Port, where he was 'found' by Kid Whip. What happened as a result of their meeting is on his page.
Soon enough, Wildfire met the captain's brother and recieved not only a job, but a place to live nearby from 'Mr J's friend.
Oh, this is bloody great...
And the Rikti, did I mention the Rikti?
Of course, he soon found out why the apartment was low-rent. When the Rikti invaded, the place was blown up not once, but three times in a month! Regretfully and with all the pride-swallowing he could handle, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. His aunt had told him about The Artful Dodgers before he left and after contacting Jack Travers, he found himself with a new home.
What???
After some time, 'Mr. J' fired Wildfire because he was a hero. Of course, Wildfire got his own back by leaving a goo bomb in his former workplace. It took three days for his former employer to clean up the mess!
Shot in the back!
During a seemingly ordinary fight against a group of skulls, Wildfire was shot in the back by an unknown (and cowardly) sniper, who was hired by unknown forces to inject Wildfire with a toxin containing water from the fountain of youth! This changed Wildfire into a 12-year-old (in appearance).
Although he has no interest in turning back or finding out why he was shot, his power over fire has increased to the point that he can summon a flaming sword now, which he considers enough to not worry about why he is young again.
However, his overuse of his powers seems to have an effect on his heart. How long he can hold out before something bad happens is anyone's guess.
Powers?
It's my awesomeness that makes me powerful, not the other stuff.
Psychometry
When Wildfire concentrates, he is able to notice details in objects that other people wouldn't. Using this ability, he can take apart machines and other constructed things much easier, or just destroy them without using as many arrows. Sometimes, he can even see where things have been repaired! He doesn't use this power in battle though, due to of of his other 'abilities...'
Psychopath
In one particular adventure, Tia found herself captured by Arachnos. Wildfire literally blasted through twenty wolf spiders, three fortunata and two tarantulas to get his girlfriend back. By the time he reached her, he seemed to have gained some control, thus resulting in there being enough of anyone to arrest. When Wildfire goes 'batsh*t crazy' as he describes it, it's best just to stand aside and let him go unconscious from exhaustion. He'll wake up soon enough.
Magic resistance/lack of an aura
Wildfire has been blasted by magical fire so many times that he is now able to punch fireballs out of the way with little or no pain. Theoretically, this could be applied to any style of magic, but he's in no hurry to find out.
The reason this works for Wildfire is because he lacks an aura. The aura is a non-physical extension of one's soul that allows a person, or educated animal to manipulate magic. Many people do not realise this simple fact, but Wildfire knows it and shares it with very few people. On the plus side, fortune tellers scream and run away when he gets close enough.
Miracle drive
In times of extreme pressure, Wildfire can use what can only be described as a miriad of miraculous abilities. These can range from rapid, short-range teleportation to a flurry of energy bolts. This is believed to be due both to his desire to win at all costs and some abilities that his mother passed on via genetics. He calls this state a miracle drive due to a lack of any other way to discribe it.
Weaponry
Yeah, I got a bow. I beat things faster than your fancy-pants fire sword. Want me to demonstrate?
Wildfire relies mostly on his bow and arrows for attacks. However, he also has his fighting techniques and a bunch of gadgets and fancy trinkets that he uses to dish out justice. Well, justice and pain.
He also carries a sidearm, which he has dubbed 'the daisy cutter.'
It's an ordinary revolver, but he treasures it as though it was an extension of his body. It's also a reminder of his early heroing days when he used two pistols as The MarksmanSpecial Items
My stuff is my stuff. No touchie!
==Cape of shocking delight==This magical cape, altered to work with Wildfire's lack of magical aura, is able to keep him warm even in the deepest cold. It also has a hood, but he was not using it at the time of this picture. Be warned if you want to touch it though, it delivers a more-than-mild shock to anyone else who touches it.
Fact-this is the first gift Wildfire was given since his mum's death.
Silencer trap
While he hasn't made one of these impressive, magic-nullifiying devices since he moved to PC, that doesn't mean that he can't.
Turbo-blades
Wildfire's rollerblades have been enhanced by military surplus cervos, allowing him to reach unbelievable speeds across ground. The wheels also retract into his shoes when he only needs to walk.
Goo grenade
A small grenade-like device filled with a special sticky 'goo' that Wildfire accidentally invented now replaces his web grenades, due to most of his earnings going towards supporting his friends. Sure, he could dip into his dad's funds, but he doesn't want to rely on money to get by.
Attuned charms
Wildfire's sisters recently gave him a series of magical charms that have been designed to work for him and only him. While he will probably never use them in battle, he still proudly hangs them from his belt.
Suits and disguises
I look good, I kick ass just as good!
Classic Suit
This was Wildfire's first used super suit. He used it during a school exam and added a helmet to it when he rescued Tia. He just felt right about using it upon his move to the big leagues.
Is he scared about any of Arachnos' goons figuring out the connection? In his own words, 'you do know who you're talking to, right?'
This suit features many, many pockets for holding gadgets, thingamabobs and doohickies, most of which don't help in combat. At all. They just look cool. The leather is reinforced with kevlar around the more *ahem* important parts of one's body.
Tech Suit
After finding a massive haul of unreturnable metal parts in a clockwork hideout, Wildfire had two options: leave them there, or melt them into a kickass armour suit. No prizes for guessing which one he chose.
This suit doesn't differ much from his classic leather suit, but it does have the advantage of being red and white, the same as his cloak. The helmet contains a radio communication device that can link up to any mobile phone in an instant. It's very handy when Wildfire, as he often does, gets in over his head and needs to call for backup without fumbling around for his mobile, along with a power scanner that he's working on.
He usually has a glowing white light emitting from the suit, but I guess he turned it off here, eh?
War Angel Suit
On one of his adventures with the reclaimers, Wildfire needed to infiltrate a group of seemingnly harmless LARPers who took their adventures a little too far, by 'recovering' (stealing) magical artifacts from the neighbourhood and using them. Unfortunately, this often lead to disaterous results.
Wildfire happened to join on the very night that they were going to summon a demon-one that had a penchant for eating teenagers!
Without too much trouble (and all the while staying in character,) Wildfire spoke out the True Name of the demon and destroyed him outright. The LARPers were remorseful for their actions, but still had to serve some community service and jail time.
As for Wildfire's actual costume, it is a rubber polymer that has been shaped and inset with metal plates to provide protection and mobility, as well as the ability to bounce off walls without being hurt so much. His bow also has different highlights in this form.
Recently, Wildfire added winged boots to his outfit. The sword? He picked that up in Salamanca.
Out of Combat Gear
When Wildfire isn't in battle, he pretty much wears an old pair of army boots, camo shorts and a white t-shirt. Notice that he also displays his burn scars without fear. Wow, his brothers sure did a number on those hands. It is also notable that he often changes this 'costume' to reflect certain events, such as weddings.
Sonic Stinger Outfit
Back when Wildfire was in The Dreamers, he was known as Longshot, then when a young mutant called Joey arrived. Joey was short, angry, had four arms and addicted to just about every drug under the sun (and some from another planet!)To help him feel more at home, Wildfire took on a new costume, shown here. Now named The Sonic Stinger, the pair had tons of adventures with the 100-strong fighting force that was The Dreamers.
Wildfire's suit allows for wall and ceiling walking with the help of high-tech boots, radio contact with the help of his antennae and slow falling (some people say flight, but it's really just slow falling.)
Trivia and other blah stuff that goes down the bottom
You wanna know about me? fine.
Trivia
Magni Island is located somewhere between New Caledonia and Australia. Where exactly, is a closely guarded mystery.
Wildfire's favourite food is sweet and sour pork.
