Personality

Breaker is a jerk, pure and simple. He insults strangers, pushes around those weaker then him, adopts a grudging mixture of respect and distaste for those stronger, and tells children that their parents died in a fire. He is also fond of telling people how they way they look/sound/dress/behave is wrong and stupid.

Powers

Breaker doesn't like to advertise too much how he operates, but a mixture of his own carelessness and poor company has more or less turned his source of power into an open secret. Breaker is fuelled by souls, in the way that another man might abuse his body with steroids or artificial enhancements.

Exactly what this does he's managed to keep a little more under wraps, though one could assume that his more obviously mystical combat techniques derive from this, as well as the fact that even out of his armor he can compete against superhuman enemies using martial arts and tricks.

Or maybe he's just very good.

Weaknesses

Breaker is a jerk. Really. At least once so far he has verbally abused the wrong person (namely Giga Gal), and believed his skills could take her down. He left that encounter with a healthy dose of respect for the powerful blonde, and possibly some internal injuries. It has not been the last time he's run into someone he simply cannot take down, but he's gotten much better at not being thrashed in the process.

He also seems to have bad luck in general with his associations, and many times regrets the fact that his primary source of income is technically teaching. Teaching martial arts, arson, mad science and black magic, but still teaching nonetheless.

Finally, his fighting styles tend to focus on one on one combat, and while he can handle multiple foes less skilled then he with little trouble, a few enemies of equal calibre to him will likely send him running.

Equipment

Breaker has an impressive array of technological and magical (sometimes both) equipment, most notably his heavy skull headed armor, a payment for a business transaction of sorts. He also makes use of Arachnos Mace technology, as well as a trio of refurbished Arachnobots. This aside he uses a mix of ninja style tricks such as disablings powders, and heavy weaponry, mostly stolen guns.

More and more of late, he's been dabbling in inventing. Extra suits of powered armour, power supression and examination equipment, time travel machines, and most lately a series of devices intented to create artifical psychic powers. At least one of the prototypes has gone "missing" through, much to his dismay.

The man himself

Affiliations

Devora Breaker does not like Devora. Especially how she keeps changing her name. Nonetheless, they made a deal and he more or less abides by it, giving her instructions in the way he and her deceased grandfather augmented themselves. Though its yet to be seen if either of them will make it to the end of her studies, or what will happen if he ever does teach her everything.

Nor does the fact that she is his student stop him from trying to make her fall down stairs, or from him encouraging zombie-monster-abomination things to proposition her.

Nor does it stop her from screwing with his plans by feeding strangers equipment and information that he'd really rather keep to himself.

Unseen Scarlet One of the few (in fact, only four) people that Breaker seems to like. Also the only one he devotes his time to without charge. She knows things about him that he would much rather not get spread around, but even aside from that he seems to be more then happy to drop things to go to her aid. Though he does think she could spend her time in better ways then she does now.

Breaker came to Scarlet's aid when she became entangled in the web of Arachnos, and has stayed as her close ally since. Unbeknownst to most, it was her who broke him out of his confinement in the Zig (though not without having some fun at his expense).

He currently seeks to teach her a little more of the dark mysticism she stole from him, as well as generally trying to prove that he is the only man for her.

Results are mixed.

Tonedeath Breaker is quite fond of Rigel, seeing her as a rare example of poise and grace in the squalid noisy flesh hole that is the D. He paid her a substantial sum to sing to him once. They seem to get along, more or less, though the fact that neither seems to care much for the others company comes up occasionally.

Alex Lowry Breaker was a little uneasy around Alex. She did make him laugh, and she was cruel to strangers, but he was not entirely convinced they should take their relationship beyond that of a business one. And he certainly wasn't happy she went around telling people that they already had. Thus, when he recieved a communication from Arachnos that she had been captured and was on the short list to be stuffed into a Tarantula, he offered to send a gift basket.

Guitar Hero Breaker does not like this person. At all.

Thyra Thyra seems to be working in an on and off capacity with Breaker. More or less. Whether they're headed in exactly the same direction in terms of their plans is debatable, as well as who stands to benefit the most from the partnership. So far it seems to be working, though...

Avice The first competent person Breaker has met in some time. So refreshing.

In addition, Breaker has been dabbling with the idea of making a sort of... evil dojo, for lack of a better term, under the theory that it will give him a cadre of more or less expendable flunkies. He may or may not do so. (Depending whether or not the player decides he really needs a ninja/dark MM in addition to all his other alts).

Enemies

Graffiti Samurai Graff did not realise he'd gained an enemy immediately, but after he cut open Breaker's armour and part of his stomach during a a battle to free the Unchainer as she was en route to a holding facility, he made a short list of people to be attacked from behind, tied to an anvil and thrown into a volcano full of alligators.

Breaker recently had his chance. After sending his ninja minions out to trail the Neverender for a week or so, he picked his spot and struck, attacking Graff after he had tired himself training in Perez Park, sending first his remaining ninjas in to wear down the Samurai, then attacking personally.

Despite a brave struggle that crisscrossed the surface of the lake, Graff was beaten unconcious, and Breaker took the opportunity to tie him in his own scarf and throw him into the waters. However, in a typical act of arrogance, he did not deign to ensure Graff drowned, and the he missed the drenched figure crawling out of the lake after he left.

Unsurprisingly, Breaker threw a tantrum when he saw Graff alive and well a week later. This would lead, weeks later to an all out assault on the Samurai, exhausting the bulk to Breaker's ninja disciples to drive a weary Graff to Warburg where Breaker attacked. A contingent of Graff's ex crew from the Neverenders including Lucy Xiao and Navitas Altor arrived just in time to see Breaker test his experimental temporal displacement device on Graff, sending him... somewhere in time. This was quickly followed by a cheap shot and sneak attack that only left Altor standing as Breaker and Thyra headed back to their home ground.

He will be displeased to find Graff has survived yet again.

Teen Templars An enemy of opportunity that is fast developing into something more personal. During a visit to the D to open old wounds among the ranks of the Neverenders, Breaker spotted Galaxy Shot and determined that she would be perfect for a plan he'd long had on hold. After a moderately complex web of lies, taunts and fights, Thyra managed to spirit the young girl away from the D while Breaker goaded several Templars into fighting him all at once (despite Terra Shaper calling him on the plan exactly. Fortunately no one listens to him). Breaker took a sound beating, but felt it was more then repaid by his new prize.

Since then, he's been in a strained negotiation with the Templar Starswarm, to the extent of offering the boy a place as his underling, an offer Breaker previously extended to Bow-SIinger (he's desperate for competent help, really). Despite this, the two of them proceeded to betray one another when they came to make the trade they agreed on, Galaxy in exchange for DNA samples from the Templars. Star recieved an unconcious street girl from the Isles dressed in Galaxy's clothes, and Breaker obtained DNA samples from a group of Paragon University drop outs. Breaker took this rather well, as he'd never planned to give up the girl at all, and had lost nothing, laughing as he left a frustrated Starswarm behind.

Despite the lies he left in his wake though, various sources filtered back to the Templars of Breakers true plan. To use Galaxy as the fuel for a mystical weapon of mass destruction that will destroy Skyway City (the highways bother him) and potentially far more. And thus in the minutes to spare before the detonation, a rescue force of Templars arrived on the scene to take the battle to him. In a wild melee, Breaker and Thyra were defeated, the bomb disarmed, and Galaxy Shot rescued. Breaker was held in the superhuman wing of the Ziggurat, while Thyra slipped away in the aftermath. Until recently...

Kichi Breaker has a nasty scar on his back. It looks like someone carved a word into his flesh, and then later someone put something very very hot on the wound to burn the wound away.

He hates Kichi.

Gadgette The latest frustration to plague Breaker, the woman named Gadgette seems to be taking a certain degree of pleasure in the fact that not only did she get access to his original prototype of the psionic device he made and had it sent to god knows who, she fixed it so that it actually worked first. Just how personally Breaker will take her refusal to return it or tell him where it is has yet to be seen, but word has gone out to the latest batch of ninjas to look for a girl with purple hair...

Terra Shaper Who?
