Personality
Always jubilant and upbeat, Flick tends to be a positive emotional force for those with which he's allied himself. Flick constantly talks about "The Show", indicating that he believes that real life is one long and intricate game show which he and he alone oversees. On occasion, he will ask for guidance from the "Judges", presumably a group of omniscient beings only he can see and hear.
Powers
None.
Abilities
Astounding Charisma
Flick has demonstrated the ability to befriend and gain the trust of virtually anyone. Many of these people become convinced to participate in his “Show” as “Contestants”, deciding to perform heinous criminal acts for the promise of “gigantic rewards” at the end of the show.
The average lifespan of his Contestants is approximately one week.
Equipment
Twin .45 M1911 Pistols
Flick carries two gold plated M1911 .45 caliber pistols everywhere he goes, as well as several extra clips of ammunition. The pistols are coated in gold that was melted down from the watch granted to him when he was fired from the network. He lovingly refers to them as his “Parting Gifts”.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Insane
Flick is very mentally disturbed, and takes great relish in watching individuals fight for survival. While his mental condition makes him very unstable and unpredictable, it also introduces the possibility that he can be beaten by someone willing to operate outside of “The Rules”. While he alone knows “The Rules”, he will not willingly break them.
Character History
When the hugely successful Paragon City News Network (PCNN) branched out to create a more “mainstream” offering to the world, it created the Paragon City Network (PCN). While the initial lineup on the network left something to be desired, a few breakthrough hits managed to keep the fledgling endeavor alive. One of these hits was the game show, “Are you Smarter Than An Idiot?”, where people were asked questions which had already been successfully answered previously by a person with a sub 80 IQ.
While initial ratings were high, and the public seemed to love the host, Flick Middleton (the former host of the popular variety show "America's Got Nothing Better To Watch"), the idea behind the show quickly drew fire from various news agencies (Including PCNN). The show was shut down after three episodes and replaced with reruns of PCN's perennial favorite teen drama, Orion Road.
The show's host didn't take the cancellation well; in fact, he's wanted for questioning over the brutal murders of the PCN executives who decided in favor of canceling his show. There is considerable evidence that suggests that they died trying to fulfill various “physical challenges”.
