Disabled persons are operating under one or more handicaps, and may need to rely on external help (prosthetics/cybernetics, magic, and so forth) to function 'normally'. Examples would be blindness, deafness, inoperative or missing limbs, impaired cognitive or empathic abilities, and so on.

NOTE: Most disabled persons do not regard themselves as 'weaker'. To the contrary, overcoming their particular handicap may forge a much stronger being than were they not subjected to the handicap in the first place.
