Character History

Von Muller became the villain known as General Nacht through a series of 'awakening' experiments into the harnessing of entropic energies. With funding running short, and only one test subject exhibiting any amount of success, Von Muller theorized that the one success was due to the woman's incredible will and strong bloodline. Using the last available resources he could acquire, he performed one last entropic awakening on the person he knew to have a truly indomitable will and most impeccable bloodline: himself.

Over the next few weeks, Muller exhibited greater and greater control over the 'powers of darkness', as his colleagues called the entropic energies. Alas, along with the greater control, all flesh that interracted with entropy was adversely affected. The flesh on his face and hands began to rapidly decay and atrophy becoming little more than thin mummified remains, though still somehow 'living'. But more to his horror, Muller discovered that his control of entropy was not a permanent condition. He required occasional awakenings to both maintain his control of entropy as well to keep his dead flesh 'alive'.

Shunned by his colleagues as a sick man needing to be healed, or a monster needing to be destroyed, Muller disappeared abroad, only surfacing from time to time to steal the resources he needed for further awakenings. To this end, he began building an army of elite military professionals, all of good genetic stock and questionable morals. With his new army, he was able to gather vast resources and continue his experiments. As his powers grew, and his army swelled, General Nacht began to need more and more resources to sustain his organization. His current projections require the need for at least a small country to produce the necessary resources to continue his experiments, and who better to rule than a man of indomitable will and impeccable bloodline?
