Personality

Nixon's sanity has deteriorated over the thirteen years he's spent as a full-conversion cyborg. He is a classic paranoid megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur, bombastic to a fault, and a narcissist obsessed with recording his every word and action for posterity. Okay, maybe he hasn't changed all that much.

Powers

Nixon's bulky cyborg body is designed more for intimidation than actual combat; he prefers to avoid hand-to-hand matches, and most of its volume is dedicated to his force-field generator defense system and high fidelity audio-visual recorders. He relies on his robot minions to pacify the area.

Robotics

Nixon commands a group of standard-issue combat robots that he has affectionately termed his Cabinet of Crime. At the moment he can afford to maintain only two battledrones, Kissinger-Alpha and Mitchell-Alpha. He wields a small pulse-rifle to supplement their attacks.

Force Field

The cyborg body's onboard weapon and defense system is a multipurpose force field generator, capable of shielding Nixon and his bots against physical and energy weapons as well as creating bolts of force to push enemies back.

Additional Powers

There is a holdout tranquilizer dart gun concealed in Nixon's right arm.

Flight

A cut-rate antigravity system permits Nixon to hover about at a slow pace.

Abilities

Richard Nixon is a wily politician, a brilliant diplomat, and a master poker player. He is completely amoral, willing to do almost anything at all in the pursuit and retention of power.

Weaknesses and Limitations

Nixon relies overmuch on his bots' abilities, and is nowhere near as heavily armored as he appears to be. His obsession with recording his activities is well known, and if arrested or detained his own internal systems will provide ample evidence against him.

Equipment

A jump pack supplements Nixon's minimal flight capability. He uses his Pocket D VIP pass to taunt the heroes of Paragon City with their inability to capture him on neutral ground.

Character History

Former president Richard Nixon feared death so much that he paid one of the world's most prominent supervillains to construct a life-support system that would render him nearly immortal. He faked his own death in 1994, and was transferred onto a sturdy robotic body; he spent the next decade traveling the world in various disguises. Nixon's sanity, however, eroded over time, and he became obsessed with taking back rule of the USA; he had his body upgraded to a more terrifying battle form, purchased a squad of combat robots, and embarked on a new career as a criminal mastermind. His first foray ended poorly, and the former President found himself confined to the Zig awaiting trial. Desperate to avoid further public humiliation, Nixon caught the first Arachnos transport out and has resigned himself to rising through the ranks of villainy in the Rogue Isles until he has enough power and supporters to make a serious attempt at conquering the nation that now thoroughly despises him.

Battle Cries and Catch Phrases

"WHO'S KICKING WHO AROUND NOW?!"

"I am not a crook! I am a CRIMINAL MASTERMIND!"

Trivia

(Nixon's origin should have been Technology, but by the time his player realized this mistake it was judged too late to go back and recreate him.)
