Personality / History
HippocraticBot is a military prototype of a field medical mobile hospital / medic, produced for the government by LYLE Corporation. According to the released specifications of the request from the military the Prototype was to be able to be a complete medical unit, and include: a long life power supply, Portable MRI and X-Ray capability, field medical database, common field vital sign sensors, quick long distance travel ability, bedside manor personality matrix, minor armor capability, and satellite communication gear.
The prototype numbered MFH-87345932B that was produced and submitted by the LYLE Corporation appears to fit the requested qualifications. Exacts as to the complete abilities are still listed as Classified and any attempt to request data from the LYLE corporation has always been quickly denied.
While the LYLE Corporation is a major contributor to Military contracts, and has publicly supported various governments and government officials around the world, little is known about the company. The company was started under the name Fallenstar Technologies, and was based out of California. It was founded by the wealthy industrialist Richard Fallenstar, the brother of Robert Fallenstar the well known ambassador. The Corporation now is based in the Rogue Isles, and is owned by Damion Fallenstar, Richards nephew, and son to Robert.
Less than 3 years old, HippocraticBot has undergone several known equipment changes, and while it appears that some of his systems are modular and can be altered when needed.
To test the prototype the military loaned the robot to Paragon City, Statesman assigned the robot to the care of Captain Amazing due to the Captain’s headstrong tenaciousness that often leads him into needing medical assistance. While HippocraticBot has a very strong personality himself he has resigned to the fact he is under the Captain’s authority. This does not mean however that the robot will not backtalk, question, or even outright insult his leader and they can often be seen arguing about Captain Amazing ‘s tactics.
While he will often disagree with tactics, HippocraticBot never falters in his programming to keep all of those around him functioning. He has also shown his ability to be a vital member of the society with the vast collection of battle badges and accolades
Equipment
HippocraticBot has undergone several known equipment changes, and while it appears that some of his systems are modular and can be altered when needed. While most of his specifications are listed as Classified, interviews with heroes that have ran with the prototype have confirmed the following:
His power unit is an unknown class Quantum power drive. While the exact operating system is unknown the main computer appears to be an encased crystal lattice with vector processing and holographic storage capacity.
HippocraticBot appears to release Ion Charged Nanites, that depending on the programming given before release can heal, re-invigorate, cause regeneration, or even resuscitate Heroes injured in battle.
By overloading the MRI emitters in his arm and upper torso HippocraticBot can release radiation in a minor attack.
HB has on many occasion teleport a team member or fallen comrade and is believe to use a version of LYLE Corps Molecular transfer system to complete these tasks.
While at first it was believed that HippocraticBot was using a prototype of a LYLE Corp anti-gravity unit, as of late both armored and un armored versions have used either jet boots, or technological wings to fly.
It is also believed that recent updates have included greater capacitors and newer more advanced nanite system rebuilders, no official records of such additions have been found.
Weaknesses and Limitations
While the specification of the prototype request from the military stated “minor armor capability” HippocraticBot’s interior systems appear to be rather fragile in nature. Paragon Security camera’s have shown a more armored appearance from time to time, but it does appear that the prototype would not be suited for long term front line battles if a secure location to protect the unit could be found. Recently acquired communication between the Military, LYLE Corp, and Paragon government officials indicate that this is an improvement that LYLE Corp is looking working on.
While none have yet to sense it, within the Quantum Power Sorce is bound a minor devil. This evil soul was bound to the powerunit by Lucious Fallenstar himself as punishment to the low level devil for failure. While the computer program still overrides the bound evil, it still trys to assurt it self from time to time.
