The Big Idea Continued From Here: Juvie/Storyline/The Council Kidnapping
Overview
Casval Regelis surprisingly shows a softer side by introducing the group to his new girlfriend, Glassworks. With much poking and prodding, the new couple suggests that Juvie ask a girl named Tabatha out and soon there is much ado about nothing as dates are made and broken and hearts are lost and found. Juvie and Princess Powerfull realize that they have feelings for one another, setting off a series of events that brings about one of the longest lasting and most stable relationships in The Artful Dodgers' world.
Plot
Meeting Tabatha
After Defeating The Council, Juvie takes a few days off to heal his bruises and looks up Casval Regelis in the Pocket D. There he is introduced to Casval's new Girlfriend Glassworks who seemed really nice was able to break any matter she set her eyes upon. Then another girl showed up. Her name was Tabatha and Casval told Juvie that she liked him. Juvie hadn't thought about getting serious with anyone. His head had been completely in the Hero Game. When Juvie asked for Casval's advice, Casval just shoved Juvie into her.
After this bit of awkwardness, Tabatha turned out to be really cool. After a few minutes, Juvie wasn't so shy, and when she asked Juvie to play Pinball with her Juvie showed her a trick with the Phalanx table in Pocket D, where you can get a really good score if you lift the table a bit. Then Juvie explained to Tabitha about The Artful Dodgers. She was impressed, saying that Juvie was was Noble and had Moxy! Everything went well, and they ended the night with plans to meet again the following Wednesday night for a date, however, Juvie was about to put his foot in his mouth!
Stood Up?
Juvie looked forward to their date, and even built a small music box out of salvage to give to her as a gift. He carefully wrapped the gift and went to the Pocket D and waited... and waited... and waited... and waited. Casval then called for help on a mission. Juvie agreed, keeping his cell phone on just in case Tabitha showed up, but during the entire mission, the phone didn't ring.
Juvie then jumped to Pocket D where Lynn and Princess Powerfull were hanging out. When Princess and Lynn found out that Juvie got stood up they tried to cheer him up, but Juvie was in a funk full of self loathing for thinking that a smart girl like Tabitha could really be attracted to a Juvenile Delinquent.
"That music cube in my pocket was really getting heavy!"
Then Casval started hinting that Princess Powerfull liked Juvie, and that Juvie should just forget his Girl problems, when a cute one was right here. Juvie and Princess Powerfull were speechless. The thing about Casval, is that you never know when he's joking. He's got an anti-poker face. In other words, you can't read him because he shows you everything. He can't be lying, look at his face! He must be lying, look at his face!
The Date Starts
Just at that Moment, Tabitha showed up. She said that something had held her up, and Juvie replied “Yeah? Well, something held me up too; it was a date that never showed.”
Ooh, Tom! Foot meets mouth!
It turned out Tabatha got confused about the time to meet. She did run late, but it wasn't her fault. Something about her sister making her late and that she was really sorry. Juvie was ready to to rail into her, but now... he felt like the jerk. When they finally started on their date they quickly wound up in The Artful Dodgers' basement. After Juvie gave Tabatha the cube, she kissed him. Then after a night of talking and dancing back at the Pocket D, Juvie gave her a kiss goodnight. They then made plans to meet the following week.
However, what Casval said about Princess Powerfull liking him, stuck in his head, and made him a bit uncomfortable. He didn't want anything to go wrong with him and Princess, as Princess was like family to him. However... it was an interesting thought. Juvie and Princess, a couple?
The Date that Wasn't
Juvie was again ready for another date, only this week, Tabatha never showed. All night long Juvie looked to his cell phone, waiting for a call, something, but nothing happened. His temper flared and he suggested the gang go out on a mission. Casval and Princess followed, partly to keep the angry Juvie out of trouble. Juvie dove into every mob like he was a tanker on a terror. After he spent his anger, Juvie took off back to The Basement to mope.
The Beginning of a Beautiful Relationship
The following week, Casval approached Juvie and asked him point blank if he liked Princess Powerfull . Juvie didn't want to say for fear that Princess would want to leave The Artful Dodgers if anything went wrong. Casval just laughed and said that if Juvie thinks Princess would leave because of him, then Juvie thinks a bit too highly of himself! So that night, Juvie took Princess aside and they agreed to start seeing each other, with no conditions, no expectations, and an understanding that no one would leave "The Dodgers" over a failed relationship. Princess suggested that Juvie spend the night with her, but Juvie didn't want to get physical right way. Instead, he did sleep with her, but only slept, waking up recharged and ready to face anything with Princess Powerfull at his side.
