Overview

Woe's Child leads The Artful Dodgers on a wild goose-chase with the intentions of turning one of "The Dodgers" over to The Clockwork King, while hoping to fracture Juvie's hold as team leader.

Plot

Woe's Child helps Techworks

A rogue Clockwork, and one of "The Dodgers" more unique characters, Techworks discovers that he needs new parts to repair a vital system that could only be found on The Clockwork King himself. Woe's Child tells Juvie that he wants to lead the mission but little does Juvie know that Woe's Child is working for The Clockwork King in order to help The King trap Techworks .

Starting the mission with a clue provied by The Clockwork King himself, Woe's Child begins to lead "The Dodgers" on a wild goose-chase across Paragon, ignoring Techworks warnings that Woe's Child is actually leading the group away from The King. Tempers rise as Woe's Child purposefully gives conflicting orders hoping to splinter Juvie's hold as leader of the Supergroup.

As bad goes to worse, Woe's Child splits the group up, sending Juvie, Princess Powerfull, and Khaotix ahead into a lab's elevators while Woe and a much stronger portion of the team cleans up a floor. Juvie leads the trio on a slow but sure battle against the clockworks, evading groups that are too stong, while tackling mobs that prove easier targets. However, when Woe's Child and his team arrives on the floor, they immediately aggro the entire level creating a team wipe.

The argument that insuess between Juvie and Woe threatens to destroy the team as Woe eggs Juvie on, keeping the argument going distracting the team to the approach of Babbage. A long drag-out fight occures as "The Dodgers" call out to the city for reinforcements. Juvie then displays his leadership by maneuvering the varied groups of Dodgers and heroes against the giant menice. Babbage falls, foiling Woe's Child's secret plot in trapping Techwork, while Juvie galvanizes the team as they head toward the center of The Clockwork King's domain.

Juvie listens to Techworks warnings that all isn't right and that The Clockwork King isn't broadcasting the correct signals. When The Artful Dodges engage The Clockwork King, they discover him to be an impostor, a puppet, put there to fool The Artful Dodgers into thinking that he had been beat. But due to Techworks's warnings "The Dodgers" know better, and are on constant vigil for repercussions from the King.

Although Techworks was able to find the parts he needed on the Imposter King, and therefor the mission was a kind of success, Juvie wasn't happy. Juvie asked Blue Steel to look into why everything went so wrong. Blue Steel told Juvie that 90% of the criminal investigations that go wrong is usually do to being wrong about the first clue. This begins Juvie's distrust of Woe's Child .
