Kristine can nearly always be found with a kind smile on her face and a melodious laugh from her lips. She is fairly attractive and has a kind and caring soul. Her voice is beautiful, her fingers long and slender like those of a piano player and her features delicate.
Childhood
Crys was left outside a doorstep of an orphanage in Founder's Falls. Her parents unknown and the current caretaker, Sara Kaulida, noticing her love of water, she was named Crystal Lake. She was always too sweet, caring constantly for those around her and constantly yearning to make things better. She was always the first to jump in between a bully and a weaker child, taking the blow for the other. One day, around age 12, Sara was out in the garden with some of the children as Kris watched the others. A small girl, age 10, by the name of Lassara had been sick with a fever and began to seize. Terrified for this friend, and afraid to leave to go get Miss Sara, she placed her hands on the girl. She closed her eyes and as she wished for the girl to get better, the writhing beneath her stopped. Crys opened her eyes to see Lassara looking up at her, and promptly fainted. It was realized that Crys had the ability to help others, to heal them. Her natural abilities combined with her mental aptitude caused Sara to look into various programs the girl could be put into.
Schooling
Eventually Crys was put into a school program where she stayed in an apartment within walking distance and took classes on medicine and magic. The girls magic, fueled by the strength of her emotions, could always tell her what was wrong with a person and her medical knowledge combined with her healing ability generally allowed her to fix it. She developed her healing further and found that she could use her ability to sense other's emotions and to change them, inspiring joy where there was sorry, healing not only their bodies, but their minds. Over time, Crys became adept with empathy, being able to sense emotions from some distance away, though she still had to touch them to change them or to heal the person's body.
The First of Many Difficulties with Men
Over time Crys began to develop physically and was noticed by some of the boys in her class. Her kind and gentle nature, along with her desire for abstinence until marriage, caused many of the boys to try multiple times to get her to break her vow. Eventually, one succeeded, though in a round-about and rough way, taking her innocence from her without consent. Terrified, and drawing on the man's rage, the girl called to the sky, pulling down lightning that struck the boy. Crys ran from the scene, never looking back to see what happened to him, running naked to her home where she showered and attempted to forget the experience. A month later she went to the nurse complaining that she was lightheaded and nauseous. After several complaints of these symptoms, in addition to fatigue, the nurse sent her to Sara. Coaxing the story of that night from her lips, Sara urged her to take a pregnancy test. Nine months later, Bliss Lake was born.
Raising a Child
Over the next five years, Crys raised her child with assistance while attending school to learn more about healing. These years were filled with joyful memories. In times of extreme joy, she was able to draw on the emotion and make it snow for her daughter, much in the same way she had drawn on the lightning that night, letting Bliss enjoy the beauty of a snowflake. Playing her to sleep each night on the piano with songs like Fur Elise and Moonlight Sonata, humming a sweet lullaby to her, healing her scrapes and bruises when she played to hard, and letting her literally feel all the love a mother has for her child through her empathy, Kris was able to raise Bliss for the first five years of her life in relative joy, peace and happiness.
The Possession
Seeing Crys's good heart immediately caused others in the world to want to corrupt it and hurt her. One demon, a succubus, took it upon herself to destroy her. She possessed the now twenty year old girl, taking her body away from her child and ravaging her mind. She used her body for a full year, wreaking havoc, Feeding on the sexual energy of all she could persuade into her web. Eventually she left Crys' body alone in an ally, naked. Her mind having been ravaged by the demon's spirit was unable to recall anything of her past. Her spirit was also changed, tainted by the demon's essance. She now possessed the ability to feed on the lust of others, increasing the amount of energy she had on a regular basis, allowing her to perform her magic at will, instead of simply when her emotions dictated. Her healing nature was increased in herself, allowing her to regenerate more quickly from wounds. Lastly, the creatures possession of her had changed her physically, increasing her bust size slightly and tinging her raven black hair with blue.
The Next Two Years and Her Further Troubles with Men
Unable to recall who she was or why she was lying naked in an alley, she sat for a few moments in a daze. A van, happening by, saw her. "What is your name?" asked the man as he got out of the car. "Crys," she replied instinctively. "Kris...? Kris what?" "I...I don't know." And so came her further troubles as the men, owners of slaves that were marketed for men's pleasure, found a naked, defenseless girl who hardly even knew her own name. They tricked her into the van and slapped a collar around her neck. Dragging her back to their warehouse, she was given the 'more elegant' name, Kristine and forced to...'perform privately,' for numerous men. Refusal, in addition to activating the magic in her collar which sent shock waves of pain through her body, typically earned her a beating from the men she was forced to please. She was allowed to roam on her "days off." However, her body was simply being used as advertising when she did so, and any attempts to tell someone she thought could help of her situation would cause the collar to choke her, mercilessly. If she did not stop immediately, the collar would never shut off and she would die from choking it. The girl's increased healing ability allowed her to take even the roughest of clients without the owners needing to be concerned that their property would be unusable for more than a day or two. However, the girl's new ability to Feed wreaked havoc. Unable to stop herself from feeding during moments of...extreme tension in lust, she was forced to take in more and more energy. The girl would then explode randomly in magical energy, causing huge storms as her tormented soul called out to the sky to save her. Kris's collar forced any harm that would have been caused by the storm to be cast off onto others, even the thought of harming her "masters" shooting pain throughout her body. However, in spite of all the struggle, she was able to find a friendship with a girl two years younger than her...The girl's name was Lassara. Unrecognized due to the lack of memory on Kristine's part and due to the changes in her body and name, in addition to the years that had passed since they had seen each other, the two still managed to develop a new and close friendship. Struck by the same illness once more, Lassara became ill with fever. Kris begged the slave owners to take her to a doctor, but the risk was too great that they would be discovered and so she was refused. As the girl once more began to seize, Kris put her hands on her, begging for her to be okay. Once more the girl was healed by Kris's touch and love, and once more the severe amount of energy drained from her combined with not having fed in a while caused Kris to faint. When she woke up, she was bound and staring at the girl. The 'masters' of the place, terrified at the abilities of her magic, decided to teach her once and for all that magic was not to be used without their consent. They tortured the girl for seven days in front of Kris, not allowing either one of them to sleep, and eventually killed her.
The Escape
One day, while at Pocket D 'advertising,' the Kris spotted a succubus. Curious to see what such a creature was like in person, as it had had such an effect on her life, she went and met her. Souma Mimura ( Shifting Seraphim ) was very different from the succubus who had possessed her and was appalled at the Kris's circumstance. The two became fast friends, and though Kris never asked her for help directly, she was able to tell the girl all about her situation, believing that the girl was unable to help anyway, so the collar did not take effect. Little did she know that the girl was friends with Violet Sanders. Informing Violet of the situation, the powerful demon swept in and saved the day, rescuing the girl and all of the others kept here, while punishing the owners in cruel, cruel ways before killing them. The other girls, freed from slavery and having no homes to go to, were given the option by Violet to become succubi and use their new powers to rid the world of the evil of men such as their, now dead, owners. Kris, having been badly beaten for exploding with magical energy, was unconscious in a cell during the escapade. Violet picked her up and carried her back to her kingdom, giving her a room to rest and recover.
Falling In Love
Over the next six months, the newly named Kristine learned to live as a free person, crashing in a friend's apartment. She slowly rebuilt her self worth and learned to be kind to the male portion of the species again. She learned about her magic, learning to control it, Feeding off of others when this use exhausted her. She didn't know if this magic was from before or from her recent possession, but once given the power to heal, she refused to turn it down. She came across Violet a time later and the two of them started dating, Kris's deep feelings of thanks for the woman becoming more. The two of them slept together and Violet, having grown to care for Kris, asked that she would become a full succubus, granting her immortality that Violet would never have to watch her die. Though the prospect of living on lust and not simply Feeding when she desired magic was somewhat distressing, the idea that Violet would be pained was even more so. Kris agreed to Violet's request, becoming a full succubus and Violet's consort.
The Twins
Little had Kris known, when turned from human to succubus that she was pregnant from her first liaison with Violet. The girl realized not long after her transformation that she was and informed Violet, much to both of their joy. It was determined that Kris was pregnant with twins and they grew rapidly over the next three to four months, their supernatural heritage shortening their gestation time. To both mother's joy, the twins, one boy and one girl, were born healthy and sound. A full eclipse appeared on the night of their birth and a daunting prophecy about the two warned both mothers to love the children equally, and love them Kris did, with all of her heart.
Sharing Violet
Due to their nature, the relationship between Violet and Kristine was far from monogamous. However, there for a few month, Kris had Violet relatively to herself, no one holding anything resembling the same status as being her consort and the mother of her children. However, that soon changed with the return of Rachel, Violet's betrothed. Though she loved Violet and understood that Violet loved her deeply and did not hold the other woman in higher regard, it was still difficult for Kris to share her lover.
Meeting James
During the time when Kris was learning what it really meant to be with Violet and to learn to share, she met and began spending time with James Perkins, a friend of Violet's. James' amusing nature, prone to getting into trouble and quick to jump to her defense was just what the doctor ordered for Kris and the two became fast friends. Supporting her through the difficulties she was facing and quick to make her laugh, Kris grew to care for the man that was so different from herself, an assassin paired with the woman who couldn't harm a flee. James' fun loving nature eventually got into trouble though when he decided to trick the girl into getting drunk. Drinking alcohol from his special flask that was significantly more potent than a typical shot of whiskey, the girl quickly lost track of things, getting silly. James offered her a rather slutty piece of attire to dress up in and, after a minute hesitation even while drunk, the girl agreed, putting on a miniskirt for the first time since she had been freed. Eventually, in her drunken state, the girl said something implying her history and James, suddenly growing a conscience when he realized what he'd done, instantly gave her a tonic to cure her of her drunken state. The two conversed a while, Kris telling him it had been alright and that she knew it was only drunken fun and told him a bit of her history, or lack there of, deepening the relationship further.
Growing Closer
Eventually, Kris and James decided to date. Going to Violet and being granted her blessing, the two of them grew closer. A special pendant allowed the two of them to be intimate without James' holy power scalding the currently demonic Kristine. However, Kristine was unable to be in a monogamous relationship, though it pained James, as the amount of energy she was required to consume would kill a single person if she tried to live on them alone.
The Further Troubles with Men
As Kris and James grew close, Kris attracted the interest of yet another male, Grandiose, James' enemy. Seeing the way James cared for her and wanting to hurt him, Grandiose devised a plan. When Kristine was on her way to see her kids and Violet, she ran into the man who showed her a picture of James and his daughter at their house, C4 lining the door and windows. Unable to bear the thought of anything happening to either of them, Kristine agreed to place a collar once more around her neck. Smiling into a camera and proclaiming her love to James, she snapped the collar around her neck, only to be shocked, contorting her body with pain. The collar then sent a paralytic impulse through her body, holding her there for all the world to see her pain stricken face. Carried away and held captive by the man who sent videos of her collared and near-naked state to James in order to lure him to a duel, the girl sat in a room, unable to move, scream or even cry due to this new collar around her neck. Slowly the memories of her two years in slavery consumed her mind as she lay there, knowing that her own actions were causing her lover pain. For days she lay there, hallucinations of memories dancing before her eyes as the evil villain used her presence to torture the one she loved. Eventually, the man demanded that James meet him for an epic battle, bringing her with him, strapping her with explosives and keeping the detonator in hand. A grand fight ensued as James fought for Kris life. In one terrifying moment, Kris believed him lost when he was shot in the head. Her pain and sorrow radiating out through her empathic nature, affecting all present, threw Grandiose into a rage, his victory slain by her pain and anguish. He drug her over to the rooftop to throw her over and kill her for stealing his precious victory, but was again confronted by James, saved by the metal plate in his head. He saved Kris when she was thrown over, killing Grandiose in an explosion of fire as the bomb that had been strapped to her was thrown to him and detonated.
Becoming Human Once More
When Kris was rescued from Grandiose, the memories brought for by the collar still fresh in her mind, the last thing she wanted was to think about sex. However, not having Fed in days, the girl was consumed by her desire for lust. Feeding off of James enough to return her sanity, Kristine went to Violet. Explaining that she wanted to try a monogamous relationship with her lover, unable to bring herself to admit to the woman who saved her that she could no bear to be like her, living on lust alone, she begged the woman to become human once more. Granting her wish, but warning that should James ever break her heart, she would kill him, the girl left, human once more. The transition did more than cause her to loose her immortality and desire to feed. The girl no longer had the energy to do any magic other than heal, no longer able to call on a thunderstorm or create the beauty of a snowflake on a whim. She also lost the ability to shift in her demonic form, rendering her flightless. Lastly, the transition meant that she would not see her children, James and Velvet, grow up, as the loss of her immortality meant that she would be gone in the blink of an eye compared to their lifespan.
Joining the Solarium Sanctis
Dealing with the losses that becoming human presented her, knowing she wouldn't change it for anything, but missing the benefits she no longer had, becoming defenseless once more, Kristine now sought a way to make a difference and to distract herself from the propensity to sulk. Having visited James there a few time, Kris was aware of the mission of the Solarium, helping those with misguided pasts to reform. Feeling this was a worthy goal, and eager to use the abilities that remained, her healing and her empathy, to help people, Kristine joined the Solarium, hoping that through her struggles she could help those around her become better than they once were.
