Origin
When Eric Stevens graduated from Paragon University with a degree in three forms of science, he jumped at the first job he could get, working for Crey Industries in its science division. Eric was one of the brightest scientist there and this allowed him to quickly move up the ranks to head scientist.
Prior to these events, there had been a meteor shower and one of the rock fragments had made contact with the earth. Crey was able to get a sample of this rock which seemed to emit some strange form of cosmic radiation. Eric and his team was given the task of finding out why the rock emitted such radiation, so they begun months of studying. On the final day of experimentation, Eric's team was making final preparations when suddenly the rock fragment began to overload with radiation and their was a huge explosion, to protect his team, Eric used his body to cover the rock, therefore absorbing most of the radiation.
Weeks later, Eric awakened in the hospital, astounded that he survived the ordeal. The doctor told him that he was lucky to be alive and that he was perfectly okay, so they thought. The day afterward, Eric was taking a walk through Atlas Park when he saw two hellions harassing a little girl, Eric being the good guy he was decided to step in. The hellions didn't like this too much so they turned their attention to him. Eric tried to hold them off but they got the best of him, just when they were about to finish him off, Eric felt his body be overwhelmed by this strange energy and at that moment, his hands emitted two energy blast knocking both hellions out. After this event, Eric began to study himself and understand what his powers could do, he gained the ability to manipulate electricity and energy, he also gained the ability of flight. Eric knew that if Crey found this out, they would try to use him to their advantage, so he quit his job at Crey Industries and began his career as a hero of Paragon, calling himself Photon Defender.
Affiliations
Photon once was a member of the Millennium Paladins but after some internal debate, later departed and joined the United Sentinels of America.
Personality
Photon is a very down to earth person but he tends to be too much of a flirt when he is around the ladies. He especially has a thing for Umbral Vixen of the All Star Sentinels of America.
Friends and Associates
Upon becoming a hero, Photon has befriended a number of heroes, to name a few: Erudin, Servant 12, Avenging Crow, Dr. Gorilla.
Costume
Photon's costume is made of an impervium lined fabric so it doesn't easily rip or tear. He also has an armored version of his costumed which he used against threats that are out of his league, this has only been one once against the Rikti.
