Screech Owl was the second teen character that I created, mainly because I wanted to try out a sonic blaster.

Personality
Screech Owl is a typical 15 year old. He's concerned with video games, sports, music, and looking cool. Not necessarily in that order. He tends to be shy around new people, and usually speaks just above a whisper. He'll open up once he gets to know people, and his singing voice, when he can be coaxed to perform, is truly beautiful. Right now, he just wants to be liked, to be part of the crowd, and to experience everything he can. He is very fond of his friends in the PRIME academy, especially Rogue Rubble and Kid Power House. He is slightly claustrophobic, and has a fear of spiders. Arachnos bots tend to give him panic attacks.
Powers
Most of Screech Owl's powers come from his mutant physiology.
Sonic Projection
Screech Owl's vocal chords and throat have been mutated to be much tougher and resiliant than normal. He can produce sound on a wide range, from ultrasonic tones that can disorient his opponents to hypersonic wails that set up painful and damaging vibrations in people and objects. He is learning to focus his scream for better effect, and can currently generate sufficient force at full voice to punch through stone. With modulation, he can induce unconsciousness in opponents. His lung capacity lets him maintain his scream for up to two minutes, but after this, he must rest and re-oxygenate his blood, or become light headed.
Energy Gauntlets
Screech Owl wears prototype gauntlets created by his father. The gauntlets were designed to be used for industry, such as mining, and were built with the ability to concentrate energy. They allow him to punch with a much greater force than normal for a boy of his age, and he has been known to knock down walls, Council warbots, and even Banished Pantheon totems with one punch.
Flight
Screech Owl can fly by means of the wings growing from his shoulder blades. His bones and body tissue are lighter than normal, and his lung capacity is greater as well. This mutation was recently triggered, and Screech Owl is still trying to master his flight.
Character History
Chris Wyatt was born to normal parents in a normal neighborhood in Steel Canyon. He himself, however was anything but normal. His parents found this out when Chris hit puberty. Chris had always loved to sing, and his parents encouraged him. The first time his voice broke, however, he shattered every window in the house. Chis was scared by this accident, but the next one terrified him. While in an argument with a friend, Chris lost his temper and shouted at the boy, breaking his arm with the sonic vibrations. Ashamed and afraid of his powers, Chris stopped speaking at all. His parents tried therapists and counsleors, but nothing broke Chris' resolve never to chance harming anyone again. Just as his parents were about to give up, they heard of the opening of the PRIME academy. Investigating the facility, they believed they had found the help they needed. Enrolling their son in the school, they crossed their fingers and hoped. Chris has indeed begun to come out of his shell. He has made several friends among the students of the academy, and is speaking again due to the counseling and training he has received. He was granted a provisional hero license, and his proudest achievement so far has been the single-handed capture of Dr Vahzilok during one of the mad doctor's escapes from prison. Recently, while at a party, he accidentally ingested some of fellow student Spineray's transformation potion, which was contained in an old Jack Daniels bottle and mistakenly added to the punch, and the brew triggered his secondary mutation. Wings sprouted from his shoulders and began to grow, much to his delight. Chris now spends his free time practising his flying under the watchful eyes of his teachers and friends.
