Personality
Her mother calls her "the serious one" as Kay tends to be much more logical and methodical than any other member of her family. Calm, cool, and collected, and very matter-of-fact, she can be a bit of a know-it-all. Her sister loves to play practical jokes on her and her mom is always telling her to lighten up.
Powers
While she has a beautiful singing voice, she also has the power to turn it into a weapon. She also inherited a little fire manipulation from her mother.
Abilities
Kay has learned her mother's technique of heating the air around her in order to fly.
Personal History
Kay and her twin sister Lyrick were born on June 10, 1991 to Jenny Ashton, aka One Hit Wonder. Their father is unknown, but he obviously had some kind of tiger DNA, as Kay has stripes and cat ears. Her powers manifested on her 16th birthday and her mother gave her a ruby amulet that helps her harness and control said powers, and she wears it constantly.
Early on, she expressed an interest in the family company, Ashton Aeronautics, and her great-grandmother Sophia has been grooming her to take over the company when she finally retires. With that goal in mind, Kay has been working as an intern, learning the company from the ground up. She has also accelerated her education, already having earned her high school equivilancy diploma through home schooling, and is currently enrolled as a junior at PCU. Her goal is to have her MBA by the time she is 21. This doesn't give her a lot of free time for socializing, and she feels she has more important things to do than hang out dancing or making small talk. She has, however, made a friend (Brightwing) who has shown her that she can be smart and pursue her goals while still having a bit of fun. The two girls have become fast friends.
When not studying or working, she feels it is her duty to give back and use her powers to make the world a safer place.
Heroic History
Once able to control her powers reasonably well, Kay begged her mom to let her register as a hero, and took the name Silversong. She takes crime fighting very seriously and has to be reminded that she does not have to do everything herself, she can ask for help or allow another hero to complete the job.

Kay wears dark glasses because her eyes are sensitive to light and she can see in the dark as well as any cat.
