Personal History
Jenny and her twin sister Stacey were born into the the Ashton Aeronautics dynasty on May 23, 1974. Unfortunately their mother did not survive their birth and their father is unknown. They were raised by their grandmother, Sophia Ashton. Jenny showed a remarkable singing talent from an early age and on her 16th birthday, was awarded a record contract. But that was not the only gift Jenny received. Like all the women in her family, Jenny came into her powers on her 16th birthday, May 23, 1990 at the precise time she was born. Her grandmother gave her a ruby amulet that helps her harness and control her powers, which she never takes off. She kept the powers a secret in order to pursue her singing career. Just four months later, her song "I Wonder" hit the top of the charts, and after a party held in her honor, Jenny disappeared for a week. She showed up on her front doorstep with no recollection of where she had been or what she had done, it was like the week never happened for her. One month later, she collapsed on the set of her music video and was rushed to the hospital, where it was discovered she was pregnant. She had no clue who the father was and her career could not survive the scandal. She retired to Paragon City to raise her twin daughters, born June 10, 1991. Once the girls started school, Jenny went back to school herself, getting a degree in broadcast journalism. In July of 2004, she was hired by The Cape and has worked there off and on ever since. On June 14, 2008 she married Posthaste, also a DJ on The Cape.
Heroic History
When the Rikti first invaded and the call went out for Heroes, Jenny decided it was time to stop hiding her powers and registered under the name One Hit Wonder to show the tabloids that gave her that name back in the '90s another meaning for the moniker. She doesn't really condsider herself much of a hero, usually letting others take the credit, but she has helped take out several criminals and villains and was named a Hero of the City in February of 2008.
