Another member of the Utopian Society villains from the Wintersmith Dreams story arc. Me and a couple friends made the VG Utopian Society and I keep this character to hold the position of a VG leader so I can edit the base when there's prestige.

Working for Arachnos

The Chinese Genius

Su Chen was born to a poor family in a remote region of southern China not far from the China/Tibet border. At a young age she showed an especially high - almost metahumanly high - affinity for the sciences. Her parents died of disease when Su was still at a young age, and she was placed in an orphanage to go to school. She burned through school so fast that she earned scholarships to a specialized finishing school in Japan as a teenager, and in her early twenties went overseas to America to study at the University level.

The Utopian Society

A top-of-her-class young girl with a doctrate in molecular biology, organic chemistry, and cellular genetics, Dr. Su Chen was first spotted by Rhiannon Gladstone for that 'hungry' look in Su Chen's eyes and was recruited for her Utopian Society. Working with Rhiannon, she laid most of the genetic foundation for the creation of their prototype, who would later be called Lanara. Su espoused making their creations as adaptable, strong, intelligent, and fertile as genetically possible to make them most likely to out-breed their human competitors, in terms of pure Darwinism.

After the fledgling Utopian Society was jailed after the infamous Trial of the Utopians, Dr. Su Chen was not a physical threat and so was a very low-priority inmate in Zigursky. She had no powers, after all. None at all... until the day Rhiannon Gladstone used an Arachnos raid on Zigursky to slip her old compatriot a pill she designed that altered Su Chen genetically just enough to give her the fighting agility and physical prowess to overthrow her guards and escape the prison with Arachnos. Su even showed some minor pre-cognitive abilities after ingesting Gladstone's special pill. As a result she was asked to join Ghost Widow's specialized Night Widows. Chen jumped at the chance to get in good with Arachnos and hone her skills. While, in the meantime, during her off hours, she and Rhiannon slowly rebuilt the Utopian Society.

Clinical, cold, always interested in research and science, she's not above turning a cold eye to the needs of others to fulfill her research, and is capable of creating some powerful genetic abominations if given the proper motivation. Gladstone uses this to her advantage. The two of them work very closely together in the operation of the new Utopian Society in the rogue isles.

Her weakness is her size. She's short even for a Chinese woman, and especially flat chested - something she was teased mercilessly about in school as a little girl. Now, as an adult, her female creations have a tendency to overcompensate for the good doctor's weakness, and tend to be a bit heavy topside (see also: Lanara). Su Chen is so sensitive about her diminutive size, in fact, that the easiest way to defeat her is to constantly insult her size until she goes crazy and put a bullet between her eyes.

Su Chen's powers are entirely physical, and pretty much exclusively obtained through hard work and grueling training during the time she spends with Arachnos. The pill from Rhiannon Gladstone just gave her the agility and stamina to really become the kind of material Arachnos was looking for - it was the training that made her powerful, not the pill. If anything about her is truly metahuman, it is her cognitive abilities. Slightly precognitive and highly intelligent with a mind for genetics almost unmatched in this era of science, she is well on her way to earning a Nobel Prize for Science for her genetics work... if she ever did anything good with her skills.

Latest RP Information

The Utopian Society has been attacked by a strange group. Their not a hero group or a villain group. They are a racist group that hates anything NOT HUMAN and so a group determined to overthrow humanity is a prime target.
