BACKGROUND: John Malthus DeHaan is the chairman of DeHaan Fabriek, or DHF, a technology company headquartered in the postage stamp European nation of Rodavia, with locations in Paragon City and Oma Tangata, as well as various other countries.

Obsessed with amassing personal power, DeHaan offers no pretense to any other motive, and his lust for individual strength attracts just the sort of people he needs: weak-willed, small-minded, easily manipulated, power-hungry thugs. Whether they wear suits or tactical gear, the executives and executioners of DeHaan Fabiek have only one loyalty: to DeHaan himself. DeHaan maintains the loyalty of his followers by giving them access to a suite of chemical enhancements manufactured by using secret, but nefarious means. It is rumored to be adapted from Crey's Protector Protocol and the Royal Power Force's Auger Program.
