Personality
Like some ice mutants out there, Kyle seems to have developed some sort of "icey" personality. No, this actually doesn't mean he's got a cold personality, neither does this mean he's cold-hearted. He's adapted a way of fitting in cold and icy puns into his every day speaking. "Man, that's ice cold" is something he'd say if someone was being mean or if they're being a downer. "Awful cool meeting you" is something he'd say if he enjoyed meeting someone.
On the other hand, he gives pyros or anyone who wields fire powers some fire and heat/temperature puns. For instance, he's referred to Fuego Fist as "hot shot". With the exception of the aforementioned hero, most fire users Kyle has come across, he really hasn't liked much.
Generally speaking, Kyle has a dry sense of humor. He's normally fairly practical, and any judgements he makes is based on observation. In retrospect, he's friendly, caring, and he's a bit of a socialite. He may ask you too many questions, but ask him to stop and he will. He respects everyone's privacy in that manner.
The reason for his "icey" personality is because of the events that have happened in his past. This is more or less a cover he's made for himself in order to keep those events buried inside of him. As it's probably obvious, he does not like talking to people about his past unless he feels close to them and unless a bridge of trust has been built. Another reason for this personality signifies his acceptance of what he has become. While he couldn't help it when he was rejected for being a mutant, he doesn't like being sad and devastated for too long. This personality helps him forget those events.
History
Seattle
Kyle Morrison was born on September 14, 1988 in The Emerald City also known as Seattle, Washington. He led a fairly normal and active life. He had been playing little league games when he was about 9 and when high school came around, he had been in the varsity baseball team since he was a freshman in high school. Back then, his dream was to be in Major League Baseball and play for the Seattle Mariners. He began to attend college in U-Dub (University of Washington) in Seattle close to home to be close to his friends and family. So far, his life consisted of baseball, his friends, family, and the occasional parties here and there being a college kid.
That would soon change.
More than halfway into his freshman year, Kyle would have a little accident. Everything he'd touch would turn into ice. First, it was just little things. Forks, spoons, books, glasses. Soon, it would be bigger things. Tables, doors, desks, and then the entire garage. His skin tone would then become quite pale, his hair would become solid and bright blue in color, and his body temperature was about 20°F. He would also find that his eye color changed to a light blue color permanently. While Kyle did a good job hiding the little things, it became harder and harder to hide the bigger things. Doing some research on the internet, Kyle would find himself with only one possibility as to why he was like this. Mutation. His parents found him researching this and immediately assumed it so.
Unfortunately, his parents weren't very supportive of this discovery. In fact, they began to look down upon the possibility of Kyle being a mutant. They called him a freak. A monster. They even went as far as questioning his existence in this world. In a retort that would forever tear apart the entire family, Kyle brought on the fact that they (his parents) were the ones who brought him to this world. He additionally brought on the possibility that one of them, or even both of them for that matter, were the ones responsible for making him become this way. And to add insult to injury, he even expressed that they may both be mutants themselves, their abilities may have not just surfaced yet. So if it's anyone they should be calling monsters, it is them.
Kyle had never felt so alone in his life. No support, no friends, no family. Looking through the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, he heard about a city with the kind of people like him. It was on the other side of this country. But if this was a place where he'd feel accepted and welcomed, he was there. Before he left, however, he was stopped by his younger brother, Sam. He had wanted to go with his older brother. Unfortunately, Kyle told his brother to stay behind and keep what was left of the family together. After having a short conversation about being a mutant, Kyle didn't care about lengthening their talk so he promptly flew. To Paragon City.
Paragon City
Kyle arrived in Paragon City on a warm summerday of July 28, 2007. Here, he would find himself accepted, welcomed, and not ridiculed for his abilities. He enrolled in Paragon City University in their Founders' Falls campus and is currently on a 4-year scholarship sponsored by the Genetic Investigation and Facilitation Team headed by Antonio Nash. Of course, everything else, he has to pay for. In addition to this, he landed a job at the movie theatre in the same district as the school.
Furthermore, he would register himself as a hero in order to further make ends meet. So far, he has done quite an amazing job and even had his merits recognized by notable heroes such as Manticore, Positron, and Sister Psyche. He was affiliated with the hero organization, The Young Watchers as he believes he still does not have full control over his mutation and has recently discovered that he is a telepath and sometimes creates some sort of disturbance around people that drives them insane. He seeks help and guidance, and he seeks to give help and guidance in return. Currently, he is a freelance hero casually looking for a super group while trying to spend time with a certain blonde.
Abilities
Kyle is a mutant who has extra DNA coding in his chromosomes that allows him to have the ability to manipulate ice. Because of this, he is weary of fire, or anything having to do with heat.
He also has psionic properties in his DNA coding which allow him to shoot out psionic energy, and it allows him to be a telepath. While he can talk to you in your mind, he can't read what's in it. His telepathy is strictly for communications only.

More stuff about this ice man
- Kyle has a fairly dry sense of humor.
- He has no problem with anyone referring to him as a mutant and/or monster. It's one of those things that he had gotten used to as a child.
- Kyle has no hang ups with either gender. He will speak with, date, admire, and treat them all equally.
- Because of his powers, Kyle is extremely resistant to mind scans. Anyone trying to mind-probe his brain will more than likely feel cold.
- His normal body temperature is 25°F/-4°C orally. Of course, this is typical. If it gets higher than 33°F, he is having a fever. In contrast, his body temperature can be as low as -40°F and he will still be completely healthy. In the most recent past, he had (and has) been able to control his internal temperature a bit more so that he isn't bothered by the heat so much.
- Kyle can make ice sculptures of just about anything, as long as it doesn't involve anything too intricate or complicated.
- Kyle is a fan of right fielder Ichiro Suzuki, and center fielder Ken Griffey Jr. Both were from the Seattle Mariners. (Ichiro remains while Griffey has retired.)
