OOC Perspective
Alex was my first tanker character created within a week of joining the game. After looking at the various set combinations, I settled on the typical Inv/SS combination and tossed up an extremely basic blurb for her background. Almost a year later, I chose to join an active RP SG my friends were involved in -- and I ended up getting sucked into the RP style of City of. She is the most fleshed out character on my roster with a full external background story, as well as continuing and in-progress stories with fellow players. Although she's hit the levelling cap, there's no way she's going to fall by the wayside with all the links she has to other characters on Virtue. She has since become a continuation character after the events of a piece of fiction.

Affiliations
Northern Might is a member of The Silver Guard with the rank of Silver Guardian and has been an active member since July 2006. She can also be seen working with fellow members of The Shield of Paragon coalition and members of The Dawn Patrol.
Her full records also indicate membership to the ICE FIELD Academy in Canada.
Personality
Alex has an easy-going personality although she is reserved around those she is unfamiliar with. She prefers to listen to all sides of a story before providing her own opinion, and is usually willing to be someone's sounding board if they need to air some problems. While she has been with the Silver Guard for a over a year now, a combination of trips to Canada and her own reserved nature has made it difficult to relate to most of her fellow Guardsmen. Alex enjoys traveling to remote areas, and the physical changes she's undergone have made these trips all the more enjoyable. She feels that she should protect those around her with her new abilities and can be rather insistent that she be the last to leave a dangerous situation.
Powers
Invulnerability
The first of two major powers that Alex gained, her invulnerability showed itself one year after the start of her volunteer program. Her skin is nigh impervious to any foreign object, including -- but not limited to -- needles, blades, and similarly offensive objects. If enough force is applied to a weapon, bruising can appear below the skin surface but will be healed at a natural rate.
Super Strength
The second major power that Alex gained but more subtle. Initially she could only use it when emotions were running high, such as when angered, but the enhanced strength quickly matured. Alex isolated herself for a number of months while she re-learned how to handle everyday objects to avoid destroying them accidentally. She can now control the amount of strength she exerts with self-restraint.
Additional Powers
Fitness
Alex has been athletically inclined since she was a young child. While she does not devote time in her day to exercising, her caseload is such that she is constantly active.
Flight
All twelve volunteers of the program Alex joined produced some form of enhanced travel. Like the powers they each ultimately manifested, the form of travel each participant gained appears to be completely randomized. Alex is unable to elaborate exactly how she can fly. If pressed, she will reply "I only think about it and it happens."
Arctic Mastery
Three years after completing the volunteer program that imbued Alex with her powers, she suddenly displayed the ability to form ice around an intended target. The exact source of these ice abilities remains unknown at this time. Her project leader has theories of the incorporation of arctic mastery. These range from living in a cold climate while the serum was still active; boarding with an unskilled mutant with ice and storm control; the use of ice-based weaponry against Alex during her time in Paragon City.
Ice Blast and Ice Manipulation
A few weeks after accompanying Marsius Denthar, also known as the hero Crimsonstar, on a mission to the Rikti homeworld of Jennla in an attempt to end the Rikti War, both Alex's invulnerability and enhanced strength have begun to fluctuate while her inexplicable mastery over the cold has increased. She continues to work on the streets, however City Hall has since issued her with a new hero license.

Trivia
- Alex graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology
- She was an avid hockey player prior to the experiments which resulted in her powers
- Alex refrains from playing hockey now, as most people would suffer some sort of injury from a superstrength slapshot
- Alex trained at the same facility as Mr Mountie, Vermillion Star, and Vanessa Mathews
- She has a tendency to call a person by the first name she met them as
- For example, she will refer to Bridgit O'Malley, one of the past Silver Leaders, as "O'Malley" even though Bridgit has since married
- Alex can be fiercely protective of those she calls friend
- Alexandra means "man's defender" -- something I didn't realize until months later, although it's highly appropriate considering her archetype
