My very first character, ever. Not that nostalgic, when one realizes that at the time of this writing I've only been playing for two months. Also, I pretty much built the rest of the Loyal and Fallen Guardsmen within hours after Ti Gou's birth. And I have over five dozen alts across various servers right now. But, still, he is my very first character. Lowenstein. Lowenstein.

History
Ti Gou (鐵 狗) is one of the oldest member of the Zodiac Guardsmen. He became a member centuries ago and remains fiercely loyal to the Jade Emperor and the Lady Kuan Yin. When the Snow Rabbit made the decision to retire to the mortal realm, the leadership of the Zodiac Guardsmen was contested by both Ti Gou and Tian Shang Lung. While the two rivals respected one another, both would compete for the leadership position to the fullest extent of their abilities.
Ti Gou would lose leadership to Tian Shang Lung, but he did so with grace. Ti Gou's role as secondary leader of the Guardsmen was one which he truly enjoyed. He was the primary trainer of the Guardsmen, not only for new members, but even to keep veteran members on their toes. He was a firm, but understanding teacher, though he would never think of himself as a shifu (or master).
Tian Shang Lung was one of his oldest friends and he respected her abilities to lead the Guardsmen. Tian Shang Lung's leadership brought the Guardians into the modern age. The world was filled with super-beings, with powers to match that of the Guardians. The Guardians faced challenges, not only from these upstarts, but from long-remembered enemies such as the Tsoo.
It was the Tsoo who would eventually bring down the Guardsmen and they started with Tian Shang Lung. Ti Gou's optimism and trust in all of the Guardsmen blinded him to the corruption within Tian Shang Lung. In this, his greatest strength would become his singular weakness. Ti Gou was far away from the Celestial Palace when Tian Shang Lung and the other Fallen Guardsmen initiated their Great Betrayal. He was on an assignment to a distant dimension, sent there by Tian Shang Lung. He believed that Tian Shang Lung wanted him out of the way, as he would prove to formidable an opponent. And a part of him believes, that she had done so because she could not face her old friend when committing her traitorous act.
Being away from the Celestial Palace did not lessen Ti Gou's pain when all of the Guardsmen, both Loyal and Fallen, were cast from Heaven by the Lady Kuan Yin. Rather, he had to make his way back from the distant dimension and to the mortal realm on his own power. This was a long and arduous journey, which took its toll on Ti Gou's weakened state.
He is now in Paragon City, allied with the few Loyal Guardsmen he has been able to find. He watches other heroes in the city, heroes with potential to be the next generation of Zodiac Guardsmen. This new breed may do things differently, they have lived their whole lives in a world filled with wondrous powers.
But, Ti Gou's primary goal in Paragon City is to track down each member of the Fallen Guardsmen and punish them for their crimes. Only when Tian Shang Lung and her cohorts have paid for their sins, will the doors of Heaven be open to Ti Gou and his allies once more.
Description
Ti Gou is a superb fighter and is especially skilled with his fighting claws. He has multiple sets, but each has been forged from iron ore obtained from mystical mountains deep in the heart of China.
