Qiang Hou
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Something about the feral nature of the monkey combined with cold technology speaks to me about this character. I haven't RP'd with him yet, but I see him as very mercurial. Alternating between highs and lows, but always self-absorbed.

History
As a boy, Qiang Hou (槍 猴) was always mischievous and selfish; these characteristics would lead him to life as a petty thief in the city of Ulan Bator. He would never join any criminal gang, as his vanity would never allow him to associate with those he thought were inferior.Qiang Hou would travel the world by stowing away on various ships or cheating his way onto commercial flights. One day, while attempting to steal a particularly shiny bauble in a North African bazaar, he came across a small monkey being abused by its master. It seems that the monkey simply was not earning enough with his little tricks.
With speed and agility, Qiang Hou knocked over the abusive master and rescued the monkey. Once the two were safely hidden away in an alley, did the monkey reveal his true nature. Qiang Hou was astonished to learn that the monkey was an emissary of the Patron Monkey from the Chinese Zodiac.
For his actions, Qiang Hou was recruited into the ranks of the Zodiac Guardsmen. At the time, the Patron Monkey was influenced by the Metal Element and therefore technology was used to turn Qiang Hou into a Legendary Hero.
His genetic make-up was altered to grant him the acrobatic prowess of a monkey and his was given a hi-tech armored suit and assault weapon. Thus, the Gun Monkey was born.
After some years of service with the Zodiac Guardsmen, Qiang Hou grew bored as he often did with any task. His boredom caused him to neglect his duties and he was subsequently brought before Tian Shang Lung for discipline.
Instead of being punished, however, Qiang Hou was offered a chance to be part of The Great Betrayal. With a wicked smile, he readily accepted. Not so much because he wanted power or held any ill feelings toward the Jade Emperor, but mostly because he was bored and this sounded like fun.
However, no fun was to be had when Qiang Hou was cast from the Celestial Palace along with all of the other Guardsmen. But, Qiang Hou knew how to make the best of any situation. The Rogue Isles became the perfect playground for him, as he could wreak havoc amongst all of the assorted gangs and villains residing therein.
Description
Qiang Hou is a vain and fickle boy, but a boy equipped with a high-tech battlesuit and a devastating assault weapon. A wicked combination. His mercurial nature makes it nearly impossible to predict his actions. Even Tian Shang Lung must handle him with care, as any perceived insult to his ego could cause him to turn. It could just as easily cause him to sulk for days on end, but either reaction would result in him not performing his duties.
Qiang Hou fancies himself as a trickster, in honor of his Patron Animal. However, the truth is he is too obvious and few fall victim to his tricks. Some of the other Fallen Guardsmen may pretend to do so, but only so that they could play on his vanity for their own advantage.
One Fallen Guardsmen who is particularly adept at this is Kuai Lau Shu, the Cunning Rat. She flirts outrageously with Qiang Hou, but has yet to ask a favor of him. It is not clear if she is simply leading him on to an even greater favor or simply toying with him out of boredom.
Qiang Hou has been genetically altered with the acrobatic prowess and agility of a monkey. His armored suit and assault weapon are cutting edge technology, infused with a slight bit of magic from the Patron Monkey. Since arriving in the Rogue Isles, Qiang Hou has received advanced technology as a gift from Archon Naja.
