History

He comes from the land of Merewether; the land of the elements in English translation [pronounced Mere-a-weather], and was born in the form of four single elemental specters; one fire, one air, one earth, and one water; each born in the womb of his mothers, the goddesses of Merewether: Incendia, ruler of Vulcera and goddess of fire, Ventulus, ruler of Galecia and goddess of air, Aquariel, ruler of Mysthia and goddess of water, and Terra, the eldest sister, ruler of Roseburn and goddess of earth. Each gave birth to a glowing baby specter that merged into one--forming a child full of blood and covered in flesh. His given name, X’hanti Kh’anti [pronounced Ex-hon-tie Hi-on-tea, the “K” being silent]. His mothers, knowing that he would become a deity like themselves, named him, in short, Yin, and was given immortality to age.
Yin by Jumproot

He was trained by his mothers in the four elements and was taught to speak the four languages of Merewether: Galecian, Mythsian, Roseburnian, and Vulcerian, as well as old-Merewetherian (Tempestrian which he would later discover). (More to come soon!)

Myers-Briggs Personality Type

Myers-Briggs Personality Type: Dominant Introverted Thinking:

Rodin's Thinker is introverted. Here these thinkers ponder the apparent chaos of the world in order to extract from it the universal truths and principles that can be counted on. These principles, once extracted, will provide the logical structure on which to build strategies.

They have a finely nuanced ability to analyse situations, find root causes and foresee consequences. They distrust action taken too quickly without the necessary investigation. They are usually levelheaded, objective, impersonal yet intensely involved in problem solving. They are fiercely independent, seeking input and comments from a chosen few. When reporting to others, they need to establish credibility first: their own and that of the person they are reporting to. If the gap in knowledge and expertise is too great and their own proficiency dismissed, belittled or ignored, they will lose interest and motivation.
Action .jpg

They are less interested in running the world as they are in understanding it. They are curious and capable of explaining complex political, economic or technological problems, taking great pleasure in explaining all the factors and intricacies. They are rigorous with their thoughts and analysis, choosing the exact words that convey precisely what is meant. They may spend a lot of time defining words, concepts and systems in order to define a problematic solution.

They are armchair detectives, scientists and philosophers, spending most of their time in quiet reflection to ponder truth, and solve mysteries. They may tend to neglect social requirements and responsibilities, finding many relationships to be too superficial to be of much interest.

Powers & Special Skills

Meteorological Manipulation:

Yin's weather-manipulating ability is psionic, and with it he can cause precipitation of moisture in any form, raise or lower temperature and humidity, generate storms of considerable intensity, and create electrical atmospheric phenomena. He can also discharge lightning from his bare hands. He can lower temperatures as far as absolute zero or raise them to solar intensities. His powers can be specifically localized, and in addition, he can create atmospheric effects in a beam-like path radiating from his hand. His control over the atmosphere is so specific and focused that while creating storms over a large region he can select smaller areas within the storm radius and shield them from his own generated manipulations.

Commanding the Storms, by Me

For Yin to affect weather and cause a wide variety of meteorological phenomena, he must be able to affect air movement, humidity, particulate matter in the atmosphere, and many other factors. One of his most powerful tools is the control of wind. Yin utilizes the wind to carry himself aloft in a form of flight that resembles gliding. He has also used wind to deflect physical attacks. When he's aloft, Yin can travel as fast as the wind, and has reached speeds up to 300 miles per hour. His body is capable of automatically adjusting itself to the surrounding temperature, too.

Yin produces meteorological effects in seconds. His psionic abilities allow him to telekinetically move masses of air and moisture. Telekinetic manipulation of atoms and molecules can also heat and electrically charge these masses. Yin's application of psionic forces requires a specialized understanding of how weather works. Yin's understanding of the weather is instinctive.

Arcane Arts:

Yin's arcane skills are far less weaker than his primary ability to control the weather. Yin is a product of magical origins. So naturally, he is able to handle the basic and intermediate arcane spells and incantations with minimal training. As it stands, Yin can construct portals that transport him to and from Merewether and the Dimensional of Ra. He is also capable of manipulating arcane energy into the form of bolts that radiate from his hand.

Although powerful, Yin is highly vulnerable in physical combat. His hand-to-hand combat is notably useless, and he relies on his weather manipulating abilities to fend for himself during times in physical combat. While visually he doesn't look his age, physically, he cannot handle the amount of endurance, strength, and prowess it takes to engage in any hand-to-hand combat. Yin is also weak against worldly, universal, and divine magic as well as Class 2+ psionics.

Special Skills

Multilingual: Extremely proficient in several languages.

Super Intelligence: Class 5 memory, and is able to store large quantities of information.

Dimension of Ra

The Dimension of Ra is Yin's official base of operations. This is located inside of an arcane realm that is sealed off in a womb-like construct. This temple is not only a safe haven, but gives Yin visual and mental information universally. With the power the D.O.R. provides, Yin is able to access one of the four spheres to connect himself with. For example, if Yin is looking for a specific person on earth, he can connect himself to the 'earth' sphere. Every blade of grass, every leaf, every rock, etc. will act as a pair of eyes and report the visuals back to the D.O.R. It is very similar to how Professor Xavier uses Cerebro to locate mutants.

The D.O.R. was once inhabited by the actual Merewetherian creator, Ra. From the start of Merewether's creation to the end of The Great Divide, Ra resided in the temple. Recorded in the Chronicles of Ra, he used the D.O.R. to not only create Merewether, but crafted the Guardians of Tempestria too. It is rumored amongst Merewetherian folklore that the Guardians were confined to stone because they witnessed the face of Ra and his temple. Until this day, Yin is the only Merewetherian who has had access to the D.O.R.

Merewether

10-15 billion years ago the solar system, as it is known, was at the beginning of a development process. All matter and energy had collected itself into a single point until it exploded, sending all of the compacted matter and energy to scatter across the cold, black well of the universe. Everything fell into a floating anomaly, drifting as separate atoms and molecules as nothing could weld itself together due to the intense heat as a result of the explosion. Then everything had cooled to a temperature so frigid, all of the matter drifting across the universe began to clump into a nebula of dust and gas particles, drifting ever so slowly; but at the same time taking on a 360 degree rotation about its center axis. It continued to progress, and rotate until it created nuclear fusion, causing smaller atoms to produce larger atoms that released vast amounts of energy. This production of energy turned on the protosun creating the energy of a single star known as the Sun.

That was 10-15 billion years ago. It would be theoretically correct, if not absolute, to state that no other planet was able to be formed before the events of the Big Bang; however, this is untrue. 50,000 years prior to the happenings of the Big Bang, the workings of another creator were at hand.

Rajin, a being composed of elemental properties, wanted to create a world where nothing but peace and prosperity existed, and the people would not live in fear of the worldly sins of famine, war, plague, and mass genocide. Rajin had the ability to foresee into the future, and not just the upcoming future, but eons into the future. The events of the Big Bang, the formation of the planets, the moon, the first homosapiens to arrive on the planet Earth, the first war to happen between the planets of Yut and Harnia; all of them had been of knowledge to him, and seeing the sufferings of millions of different races, Rajin wanted to form one, single planet that would rid itself of worldly evils.

So the planet of Merewether was formed. Forged by the four main elements, the spherical properties of the planet had been set into the universe through the workings of Rajin.

Mysthia

Name: Mysthia – “land of oceans and beauty”

Inhabitants: The inhabitants of Mysthia are called “Mysthians,” and are composed of both male and females. Mysthians are known for their appreciation of water, and the beauty that it holds within. There are no other treasures then that of the sea, and only those of Mysthian blood is capable of inhabiting those treasures. Mysthians are born with an inherited ability to survive beneath the seas and oceans they cherish. It is complicated to explain, but Mysthians have a breathing system similar to homo-sapiens, but it is a merger with the earth amphibian breathing system; however, no gills exist.

Mysthian males tend to be the average height of 5’9-6’3. Any more or less would consider them a dwarf or giant on Mysthian lands. The male Mysthian has an inherit ability that Mysthian females do not. Mysthian males are granted with the ability of increased speed, strength, and endurance when beneath the ocean’s surface. These inherited abilities compliment the Mysthian male role – to work, to put food on the table, and protect the lands of Merewether if any harm would come to it. All Mysthian males are born with blue hair. The shades, tints, and tones differ dependent on the family origin.
Mysthia

Mysthian females on an average height are 5’4-5’7. Any more or less would be considered a dwarf or a giant. Mysthian females also have an inherited ability, but it differs from the males. Mysthian females have inherited the gift to transform into a species known as the Seastress (referred to under Species). All Mysthian females are born with white hair, sometimes gray dependent on age and family origin.

Mysthians tend to keep to themselves. They are highly protective about the waters surrounding this major land of Merewether, and hardly let outsiders pass the border. This is not an act of self-centeredness or the want to keep those different out. It is just a method of saying, “We’re cautious about our home, and we want to ensure that it stays kept.”

Mysthians have a choice whether to live above or beneath the surface of the many oceans that surround the land. Those who live above the surface reside in caves (not your typical cave) behind majestic waterfalls. The homes beneath the waterfalls are just as gorgeous as the waterfalls themselves. The Mysthians who chose to live beneath the surface as well have gorgeous homes in which Mysthians can only view due to their inherited breathing system.

Language: The major language in Mysthia is called Mysth. It is a language that can be spoken and heard to all of those whom have the ear of the Mysthian. The language is not entirely heard through verbal communication. Instead, the language is a combination of verbal communication and ultra-sonics. These two are combined so that it compliments both Mysthians and the creatures beneath and above the ocean’s surface, as well as the ocean itself.

Religion: Mysthians worship Aquariel, the goddess of water in Merewether. Aquariel is one of the four sisters of the quadruple goddess circle. She was crafted from the essence of water itself, and knows the land of Mysthia better than anyone else on the land. Mysthian’s place of worship resides beneath the surface in a church-like setting. The place of worship is called a Rivecean (riv-E-she-in).

Children of the Elements & Tempestria

Children of the Elements

Children of the Elements logo

The Children of the Elements served as Yin's first official supergroup; a group unique in it's own way consisting of each member whom was a superior in an element they controlled: earth, fire, wind, water, ice, darkness, light, mind, lightning. It's lifespan lasted for over 3 years with an inconsistent roster. As time grew on so did the members which left a lot of 'come-and-go' windows inside of the team. Overtime as Yin grew weary of it's responsibilities, and recognized greater responsibilities at his home world, he disbanded the Children of the Elements, and had set off to handle more dire matters on Merewether.

The CotE's (it's abbreviation) original, long-time running roster consisted of: Apollo, Fervor, Avatar, Earth Angel, Ms. Mind, Wind Walker, Vollmond Saenge, Frost Phantom, and Picsi.

Tempestria

Tempestria logo

Tempestria consisted of well over 35+ members in its prime. Tempestria had set itself out to be different and unique by establishing factions within the supergroup. The factions included: Atlantea (water), Cerebra (mind), Chi (body), Crytoria (ice), Gaialahn (earth), Moltyra (fire), Solises (light), Tenebros (darkness), and Zephren (wind). Each faction was led by a captain (as follows): Moonlight Siren, Carolina Crown, Chill-Out, Michi Hongo, Akemi Akiko, Sydereal, Necra, Jenny Love; and under the captains followed members.

Tempestria's lifespan lasted a year and some months before it came to closure, leaving the memory that it was one of Paragon's most greatest elemental superteams to have existed.

Allies

Charon

Complete polar opposites, Robert Ian Black, also known as Charon, shares an affiliation with Yin. Despite the pair having contradicting methods of handling justice, the two have stood beside each other with a common goal; to stop crime and the hands that force it. Yin has noted Charon as one of the most skilled heroes Paragon has under it’s day blue skies and black nights. Even though human, Charon has proven time after time that he is more than average. He is a superhuman driven by love and hate--the fuel to his fire. His quarterstaff and hand-to-hand combatant skills are parallel to Yin’s control over the weather.

Comet Woman

Mary Kate McClare-Baines, also Comet Woman, is to be considered Yin’s second daughter. Mary Kate found a mentor and father in Yin, and shared many moments in combat. She confided in him as a second voice of reasoning when a decision had to be made. She has gone through a series of episodes and life changing experiences, and Yin has been by her side for the majority of them. From marriage to her evolution stage. Yin also once had a close affiliation with her great grandmother, the first Comet Woman, during World War I. Unfortunately, Mary Kate has gone missing for quite some time now, and her whereabouts are completely unknown. This has troubled Yin on a day to day basis. With Comet Woman being a user of mystic arts, it is believed that she is cloaking her whereabouts.

Grae Knight

Yin has great respect for the man known as the Grae Knight. His supergroup, the Paragonian Knights, are a force to be reckoned with, and Yin has personally devoted time in aiding Grae Knight by joining the ranks of the Elite. His work with the Knights has been universal then local. Both men have stood and fought on the same grounds several times in parallel universes: (Praetorian), the Rikti Warzone, and Recluse’s Victory. He finds Grae Knight’s prowess and skill with a broadsword to be among the finest.

The Imperial

Alastair Cromwell, The Imperial, is considerably Yin’s best standing ally and friend. Yin will refer to Imperial as his earthly-brother before he would call him an ally. There is a rich, undeniable history behind the two’s relationship. From World War I until today, both men have stood beside each other in combat and friendship. As the record stands, the two have led some of the finest heroes the world has known under Legendarium; a group of earth’s mightiest heroes that had been created at the beginning of the first World War. In combat they are the essence of chemistry and compliment each other’s abilities, skills, strengths, and weaknesses at a divine level.
