History
Matthew Burke was tired of all the "New" villains coming into the Rogue Isles and doing an awful job, so he contracted the Crey Corporation to create clones of himself to serve as lackeys. Zap Burke is one of those clones.
This particular clone, after being fully developed but not finalized, accidentally stuck a fork into a light socket. Crey did not divulge whether Zap Burke did this himself, but it stands to reason that this encounter certainly proved beneficial. After the "socket incident," the Burke clone developed a high tolerance for pain and electricity. Matthew Burke dubbed him Zap Burke and trained him to be an excellent fighter.
Zap Burke is a member of the Circle of Burkes.
