Personality
Charlie/Starfusion is a very loyal and protective person, especially when it comes to his daughters. He does not do what he does for attention or to be in the spotlight. He was born with a gift that he took for granted, but the loss of his wife showed him the importance and the need for him to use his powers to help others.
Powers
Starfusion can generate and manipulate intense flames from his body. His skin is extremely durable and highly resistent to temperature extremes and physical injury.
He has no mental/telepathic defense.
Character History
Charlie Starnes was born in Charlotte, NC. He lived there until he was 15, when his family moved to Paragon City. After finishing high school, Charlie took a B.L.E.T. course through the local community college, with intentions of becoming a police officer. It was during his time at college that he met Elisabeth Summers. It was truly love at first sight for the both of them.
The two became inseparable. While Charlie finished up his courses, Elisabeth was still studying to become a registered nurse. As she continued her education, Charlie took on different jobs while trying to get hired by the PPD because they had decided to go ahead and get married. They were both 20 years old.
After their first year of marriage, their first daughter, Summer, was born. The couple was overjoyed. Two years later, their joy was doubled when their 2nd daughter, Jennifer was born. For the next year, the family lived a wonderful, fullfilling life.
They never saw what was to come, the thing that would change the famliy forever. Elisabeth went to the bank in Steel Canyon not knowing that it had been targeted for robbery. Before she knew what happened, the criminal busted in. Elisabeth was one of 2 victims that were killed as an example to what would happen if anyone didn't follow the thief's demands.
Charlie was heartbroken. His beloved wife had been taken from him and his daughters. It was in the utter shock that Charlie realized what he had neglected. He had been born a mutant with great power. But he had decided not to use it for fear of what others might think of him. But after the loss of his wife, and at the realization that he had a 1 year old and a 3 year old to protect, he knew what he had to do.
He got his license as a private detective and began to help others avoid what had happened to him. He also created the Captain Starfusion persona to go where Charlie could not. Though it has been 10 years since the death of his wife, he has still no idea who was responsible. That terrifies him for more than one reason. First, the unknown tears at him. But the greater fear he suffers is what will he do if he finds out who killed her?
The general public does not know that Charlie and Starfusion are the same person. But both are well known in their own rights.
